One concern of mine with these unknown fabricators is the quality of the cats used. If they're pinned and start separating after a few thousand miles,I'd hate to get the dreaded CEL. Hopefully that's not the case. Enjoy!

while technically not my car I did an oil/filter, transmission & diff fluid swap out on a very good friend's car today. sorry, forgot to take a pic of his seal gray 04 996tt on my pops' lift whilest we refreshed things. my bad..
this is the car that got me researching the 996tt five or so months ago that ultimately after driving this car just before he bought it took my attention away from the 993 C2 that I had always coveted and thought I was going shopping for. this is the car that introduced me to this forum here... you have Darren to thank for my arrival... haha.
anyway, I had to take the hour trip south to my folks' house to let my old SC doors down from their perch having been hung on my old man's shop walls for a number of years. a guy driving up from san diego wanted them bad, sent a deposit and drove 400 miles each way today to collect them!!! the doors sold, we hoisted the car up and got to work. we smoked cigars, told lies & talked cars for a few hours while we did the serviced unrushed... a great time was had by all and a tt has fresh fluids moving forward.. winning!
my buddy had a nice bottle of irish whiskey he presented my pops just before driving off which he appreciated. all I got was tail lights as we left the property with me following in the truck as that seal gray tt got smaller & smaller as he raced away, fast!!!
great day!

Replaced my heater core. Did not realize how much the faint smell of anti freeze was getting to me until it was gone. Also put in my new double din kenwood. Big let down as it has a crazy buz from the speakers and Crutchfield can't even replace it because they are "not available ". It's the freekin top of the line brand new excelon 2016. They are sending me a pioneer. Should be here tomorrow.

^ if you're post "02 and "MOST" fibre optic etc... running the kenwood with the original wring harness it's possible that could be the source of your buzzing. my tech bud insists in a new harness with any amy upgrade/etc. why, i am not sure. just a thought. GL with the pioneer.

I am an 02 no MOST system. I had the becker cd20 and and the bose system. However when i dug into it the pre-amp is not driven through the RCA? connections. The connector that has those had only one wire in it, the Amp ON signal. I wired the speaker outputs thru and the sound is good except for the buzz/humm. I can only hear it when the car is off and the volume turned down but is it is very noticeable. I did a little bit of diagnostics, unplug the amp on wire and all sound goes away, unplug the speaker outputs withe the amp on plugged in and the sound goes away, with everything plugged in and the Buzz/hum going i can tap the back of the Kenwood unit and hear it through the speakers, tap the front of the unit and i don't hear it. Another interesting thing with my waste gate actuators, now that i have made sure they are moving freely and the new rods all adjusted straight and true my boost is lower but always the same no spiking like before. I think they may have been binding and giving me the 1.0 to 1.2 values i had. Now always steady at .9. This leads me to believe that i do not have a tune on the car because it was not the DME controlling the boost to 1.1 but the wastegate setup. Question on tunes, can a COBB accessport be used on multiple cars. Basically could someone with the accessport upload an OTS tune on my car and then take their access port back?
