I need to clean it up again, gotten quite dirty after a week of driving in rain and traffic! Also need to do some more polishing, the finish still isn't completely smooth in a couple of areas in certain lighting/angles. This time of year in my area, bad weather and rain is to be expected and the mountain roads are snowed/iced in and driving options are limited so I have to get my enjoyment in by being a perfectionist until spring/summer and I can finally get on to the track.. Then spend the next fall/winter polishing out and cleaning up the effects that track days from summer have had on the finish

Speaking of track days, pinning the coolant pipes will be on the agenda for February.

It's custom, built by fftec out of Hayward CA.

FFTEC looks like a well rounded shop going by their web site and like that they actually state some pricing for 996t engine removal and pinning. They make no mention of exhaust fabrication? how did that come about for you?

Believe it or not I got it off Ebay. It was built for a customer car and only ran on the dyno, I got it bolted up last night, couldn't resist and took the car to work this morning. I'll snap some pictures, I didn't think to snap pictures with the bumper off, I will say the fit was excellent with no real problems mounting. It has 200 Cell high flow cats on it, and i'd say weighs just under 40 lbs.

overall it's not bad at all.

but i'm being very critical here, cold starts are droney "boomy" so you could say there's some drone around 2k. I didn't think it was bad at all though, it's nice and quiet at idle, and you get a nice burble on deceleration. I can really hear the turbo's now, and if you get on the throttle it has a very nice note... if you can even call it that between both the wastegates opening and the exhaust wailing. I'll try to get some video of it at some point with my go pro.

Rodian from FFTEC is who I spoke with, he called me almost immediately after I purchased and went over everything with me, and actually just called me after I gave their shop kudos over email. He said they have a number of fabricators onsite and they do custom builds. Seems like a great shop eager for business from our community.
