I'm pretty stoked this morning. Going on a 4-day golf trip to Oregon and my friend is hauling my clubs in his car so I can take the long way there in the 911.

Appreciated, cheers,

Newer windows, low E-coat, etc. can all start fires. There's some interesting reading on it.

Not sure if e coat is on them, but when I stand in front of them on a hot day, I can most certainly feel the energy.

I got in mine to drive it to work today. Backed out of the garage and my wife comes out and says she wanted to take it today. Put in back in the garage and drove the air-cooled. Nice to have choices.

Decisions, decisions. Mine has not driven Turbo yet. 1st gear seems to be cooperating so I need to get her familiar with it soon. She dailies a 6 speed Wrangler.

Did a car show at Beale Air Force Base. It's a free show, open to the public once every year. All cars are welcome, so there's a great cross section of cars from rat rods to exotics. They had two hangers, one with exotics, one for Porsches and the rest in a huge lot.

That's a U2 behind the BMW.

Getting ready to put rebuilt slave back into the car today, really excited to finally have a free day to get my hands dirty.

EDIT: Clint let me know that the boot had swollen up from contact with Pentosin.

it was on the car when I removed slave to rebuild, and it fell off during removal, so I should have thought to put an eye on it but I didn’t until right now when I’m ready to reinstall into the car.

not sure if I can find OE or equivalent, or are there universal replacements that can be had?

Awesome show, Sanyata. Very cool mix of transport.

I moved my car around today. Sadly, only a few feet forwards and backwards to get to a window a/c unit. Our downstairs unit which the system costed $10k in 2015 is on the fritz. Pretty warm here already.

There is a groove for that boot on the slave itself, may be you can manage to secure it with a ty-wrap or boot clamp? Ask around this forum, may be someone kept an old boot after slave replacement or gt2 mod.....

I tried that at first

but then a little bird told me there may be a solution soon, so I’m going to hold off and see how things develop.
