Changing exhaust and replacing studs b/n turbo and catalyst. Install studs dry, or use product?

Plan to use anti seize on nits ends wasn’t sure about on the turbo exhaust housing. Advise/recommendations appreciated.

Thanks Aaron, I'll definitely give you a ring when I'm in town next. T10Chris, I forgot he's no longer using the factory clutch. I really need to drive one of these that has all the GT2 components, as I bet none of the cars I've driven have had the GT2 slave and master cylinders.

anti-seize for the turbo nuts I would not use the cu based product as the Cu plates out and can make the nuts hard to remove. There is a special Ni based anti-seize that is designed for use on high temperature alloys like Inconel

I've also collected some parts for my Eagle Talon project too.

That intercooler is a lot smaller than I'd expect.

The factory intercooler is in the fender well in front of the tire. This was an upgrade to that without doing a front mount.

Really? I thought they sat on top of the engine like the OEM Sti did - that's why there was a power 'bulge' in the hood.

Looks like a nice period build, ported 2g mani, 4 bolt rear, upgraded side mount, o2 I can't make out but looks nice and a big 16g? 20g? I can't tell. I loved those cars.

IIRC the bulge is the intake pipe into the tb?

Good eye! Plan is to restore it with some period-correct bolt ons. Trying really hard to keep it OEM+, but with a few modern additions like a speed density tune via ECMlink.

- Small 16G turbo (freshly rebuilt with enlarged wastegate and ported housing)
- 2G manifold and O2 housing (both will get ported and ceramic coated)
- 4 bolt LSD rear end
- Dejon side mount and piping (I might go with a front mount but I like the idea of being a little stealthy with the side mount)
- 850cc injectors
- Walbro 255 fuel pump

Thanks for that tidbit. Yes, have Ni based anti seize and am planning on using it on nuts.

Should i install the studs into turbo exhaust housing dry?

Neat toy.
