I'll post this on 914World and see if I can get them to join the game.

We'll have to make it subject to weather-the forecast as of this am, for Thurs, is rain. Cold temps and snow in mtns. We'll see, it's still a ways out.

Sounds good. The 914 guys said they'd meet up at On the Border also, 7:30 am, weather-dependent.

12/29/2014 Update:

OK, motor is at the shop. Went and took a quick look today. Looks good. Oddly, plug coil packs were disconnected and several other manifold parts too. Looks like someone from Homeland Security went through it (seriously!). No big deal, but very odd.

Homeland Security?!?! Did they leave a note or a sticker behind?

no big mystery with the fiddling of the plugs and intake plenums... gotta pull the coils and plugs to leak down and the starter buried underneath all the intake plenums has to come out to separate the tip tranny. no sense buttoning it back up! good to see it arrived pretty much exactly how it was packed for shipment.

That black car behind the motor looks familiar.

Ah, OK, that makes sense. Since it was dropped from a running car, I didn't get why these items were disconnected.

Yep, I'm trading correspondence with Rebecca. There are two other interested parties also. I'll keep all interested parties in the loop via email after the transplant is completed.

Thanks, I will definitely keep posting updates. Looks like the transplant will be next week.

Yep! So, why the delay? It's been blocking that part of the shop for weeks now. Get that wreck hauled out so that I have space for mine.

That engine looks great. I would give it a super cleaning and detail job while its out. Looks like the CC vent has been a little overwhelmed for such a new engine.

I'll buy the broken one!
About how much are you paying for engines in various states of destruction? Are you mostly needing good heads? I will even deliver them if you need several at once.
