Well, this thread is rapidly devolving the way most 996 threads eventually do. I will get it back on track once I have updated news regarding the motor I am buying.

NP.
I did receive the following email today regarding the mechanic (Viking) who has the car at his shop:
So, if any of you know Viking, I'm sure he would appreciate your best wishes.

I did receive the following email today regarding the mechanic (Viking) who has the car at his shop:
To All Recent Instructors:
To those of you who do not know, Sherrie Schaeffer informed us at this past weekend’s DE that Viking Sjovall has been in the hospital for some time and is currently in the long-term ICU at Park Plaza Hospital in Houston.
Sherrie has known Viking for years and asked those attending the DE to write him a caring note of support and make a contribution to help him out wherever needed. The funds contributed on Sunday are further evidence of what a great instructor corps we are all part of, and clearly demonstrate our concerns about him.
Viking was one of the early organizers that helped build our great DE program and was actively involved in the instructor training school until just recently. He now needs our support. Please let any in-active instructors you know about Viking.
Sherrie’s below email provides additional information about Viking, along with ways we can help. If you need any further information, please email her at the below address.
I know we are all wishing Viking a speedy recovery!
Thank you,
Bill Tutt

Gonzo, my thinking and imagination was more in tune with Sneaky Pete. So, yoga pants with a young thing with TWO nipples was what I had in mind as well.

Long thread.
First, prayers go out to the Mechanic first and foremost. Next I wish Cuda major luck in the swap, keeping a fine 996 on the road is often a thankless gig outside this community, but you will pat yourself on the back after 100k under your belt on that new motor (once PPI'd). If you ever run thru TN swing by for real BBQ and Whiskey.
Good luck!
P.S. - Man that is one high PMCS bill you displayed!
P.S.S - Someone please bring on the ***** already
