^^^^ Indeed. I'm pretty stoked about it. The seller is a very upstanding guy, so I do not anticipate any nasty surprises.
This will be very expensive, but at least not catastrophic. Besides, I rather like Ramen noodles.

Ummm... Jake, c'mon....I didn't think that was very cool of you to post right after me in the seller's thread, offering to buy the motor. I was already in the process of discussing pricing with the seller, and I think he would have lowered the price more had you not essentially started a bidding war. You are able to pass on any increased cost to your customer. I am not.

That is one check you can cross off the list. Now get it swapped and you might be able to recoup a little by selling some bits and pieces off the old motor like the heads, harness, fuel lines....

You should be able to sell the heads to someone that has suffered from intermix. As for selling the whole motor as is to a salvage place that might be the way to go if you don't want to get into taking it apart. Not sure what amount of money it would bring.

Yeah, I was a bit stunned when I saw JR's offer to buy the engine posted last night. I bet that post of his took $1,500 out of my pocket.
