Also have an '04 Boxster S Anniversary #397.
…love 'em both.

Congrats on the new 40AE! Terrific low mileage example of these great cars. If I recall correctly that car was originally owned by a Nike exec who cared for it extremely well (at least according to the salesman). Came with the luggage, too, correct? Great find and, again, congrats. I've added you to the registry.

PS - the Boxter looks great, too. You're a lucky guy.

Thanks, and correct on the previous owner and luggage. In fact I believe she had three previous Nike owners and they all cared for her extremely well. She still has less than 25,000 miles, a very smooth and strong runner. I too think I'm lucky, my wife thinks I've lost my mind.

I plan to, she's a thrill to drive, seems bran' new.
Right now she's at my sort-of-local Indy getting an oil/filter change and a 'soft' PPI. Had a thorough PPI by the dealer in Portland, OR, but I wanted my local guys to look her over as well.
We're planning for the Box to be our local and intermediate distance car, the 911 will be our long distance machine.

WOW. 255 fronts? Do they rub?
I wanted to step up to 245 on mine with the x74 but was worried about rubbing.
What is the offset on those rims?

I ran stock size wheels with 5mm spacers and 255front 305 rear Hoosiers, but you have to get really short to not rub the bottom if the spring perch, like 255/35

When I bought these wheels they didn't have any markings, They were however built to 993 specs (the fronts were 18x8). I had to get 10mm spacers in front to clear. no rubbing at all

mas05's car looks great! For those who like 40AEs with mods, whether a few mods or many, here's a 40AE for sale in Germany right now (#1516).
