I am very interested in a magsafe option. I am currently using this mount from amazon that uses what seems to be a pretty generic ball mount. ~$40 seems like a very reasonable price so if you do manage to create a ball mount version you got my order.

What would also be nice is a discreet hole that could be used to route a cable through it for MagSafe wireless charging mounts. Then we can hook up the wiring behind the dash for a clean install.

So the Rennline ball mount is 17mm. Please let me know if any of these other magsafe mounts need a different diameter. If my girls give me any free time at home tonight, I'll show off that version in the morning.
