Man, Skip this looks so clean and robust that it should be given a Porsche specific part number. Thanks for doing this. I wouldn’t even consider tracking my car before, but this will likely get me in the game at some point.
This has the same or similar external profile as the stock plate, right? Meaning same ground clearance? Being quite low, I never really saw a deep sump oil pan as a viable option for my car on the street.
Yes, the Twin Tunnel Port / UIDS will stabilize the oil pressure during high G-Force corners and greatly improve durability.;
The Stock sump plate is .600in thick, the UIDS is 1.200in thick, the 2qt deep sumps are 1.600in thick ...So the UIDS has .400in more ground clearance than a 2qt deep sump.

FWIW - my car is pretty low, i do street-drive it to track events and with the 2QT deep sump and skid plate have only scraped the skid plate on one very very terrible hotel parking lot entrance... without the skid plate it would not have scraped. so i would have zero issues with running this UIDS without a skid plate. of course YMMV if you're encountering speed bumps at speed.
I'm planning for my car to be.... stupid low Nice side effect of not having to drive it to the track anymore is, when I drive on the road I will get to be very picky.
I love how 996's get to be stance nation AND track ready all at the same time.
All testing is done on the UIDS even down to testing the o-rings for leak/seep!!
I sent out the Email from the online Wait List yesterday with the Twin Tunnel Port-UIDS Questionnaire attached to everyone on the list, but some E-mails were not valid, some were " undelivered by Mailer Demon", some may have went to your Spam.
So if you were on the list and do not see an E-mail, check your Spam folder and if not there E-mail me at charles_brazeel@yahoo.com and I'll send it to you.
The Wait List has been turned off, so it won't be accepting any more responses. The production of the UIDS is underway and a little more patience is requested.
I realize everyone won't all the info/data requested, just fill out what you can.
The cost will be $3k for Rennlisters during the Introductory Period ..
The UIDS has come a long way since inception in OCT 2020 to now.....

Skip i'm sure this has been talked about but i can't remember. Will this add oil capacity at all?
I could post the before and after videos of my car dropping oil pressure, and then not dropping oil pressure with the UIDS all on the same roads... And the test data where I removed the oil pump cover and tapped a port right at the oil pump gears to get the Absolute Head Pressure of the oil pump. ect..
But I think everyone will be more interested in the Data from Cayman Spec Racer that if I can get him one by April 20 will do there first race on it. Or Steven at Sebring that will post next month ( I already posted his video of oil pressure drops without UIDS).. and Geoff just got his baseline data last weekend on the track and will get the first two off the 911 production line.
Remember, the UIDS just gets better the more G-force is put on it, you can't put too much G-Force on it..
BTW : part number for UIDS will be UIDS-911 and UIDS-B/C (Boxster/Cayman)...
Skip i'm sure this has been talked about but i can't remember. Will this add oil capacity at all?
Yes, the capacity for UIDS was increased by about 1qt , but is totally not necessary to maintain oil pressure , was only done to improve cooling/ delay heat soak...
BTW, I have thought of a very simple way to add an oil cooler to the UIDS for track only cars ( or cars with no mufflers/by-passes ) ..But before I get into it, I want to talk to Charles at LN to see where they are with the oil cooler that mounts/replaces the factory oil cooler..
