Skip,

I am sure you have your hands full, but up date on approximate shipping dates would be great.

Yes, I have gotten behind on my schedule and supply issues continue to set me back.

It was over a month and a half getting an order of the UAOS 987/987 997 Black Annodized Aluminum Accumulators in so UAOS orders are behind. and my trained employee left for a full time job, so now I'm left training two more part time employees to help build UAOS Kits.

The material supply has been a delay in the UIDS, but progress is being made as material parts come in. 800 hundred new bolts for the sumps, I ordered 80 997 oil return tubes, which the Porsche Dealer Special ordered...ect.

George is building the valves as fast as he can, I'm at the mercy of George, and he is at the mercy of the supply chain.

All the small delays add up and is totally frustrating for me as I'm sure it is for you also.I hate keep making shipping predictions based on my expectations only to be disappointed.

Hang in there Skip. Supply chain problems everywhere and they are getting worse with the China shutdown and Russian invasion.

I'm happy to take the blame. I wish you guys could appreciate what a huge project this is and the amount of work that's going into it. I refuse to cut any corners, every step of the way I'm making sure every process is documented, measurable and repeatable. Unfortunately this takes time. I can only dedicate so many hours a day to this project due to other customers I supply.

UIDS are being assembled now and will be reaching customers soon.

Thanks for your patience

George and skip genius doesn’t happen over night
if there’s any backlash maybe they aren’t the right people for your product
it was created because of a need and you guys answered the call
thank you I can wait for uniqueness with purpose

Yes the need has been there since the m96 was designed, we all knew it and have seen the drops in oil pressure even on the street, and yes especially on the track. We have all seen the bearing wear and the failures and why the deep sumps of many brands have been created and used.

Properly diagnosing the cause of the oil pressure drops was the first step, and a big one. Then to come up with a solution in the most robust, sophisticated,, yet simple method to achieve this was the next step.My 45 years as an Auto Troubleshooter along with my racing and designing experience gave me the wherewithal to dream up the Twin Tunnel Port-UIDS. And with Georges' CAM CAD work and precision machining our collaboration is now a reality..

Porsche even "semi-admitted" the M96 had a problem when they built a $1mill simulator rig for testing the sump on the MA1 engine that superseded the M96. I have done similar testing on the Twin Tunnel Port-UIDS , but with a less costly simulator, the accuracy of the test are no less valid...

With the Twin Tunnel Port-UIDS the engine can maintain oil pressure completely on it's side, even a "dry sump Mezger" GT3 engine can't do this. No Race Track on the planet can cause the UIDS to loose oil pressure, and everyone knows loosing oil pressure even for a moment is not good for the bearings...

It was almost the same thing with the UAOS, and I'll wait my turn.....and perhaps the oil cooling issue will be on somebody's radar...

Skip, this reminds me of the UAOS somewhat.... I'll just wait my turn.....meanwhile has anyone else besides Jake fabricated a better oil cooler?

Absolutely don't want a Porch Pirate grabbing one although they would have no idea what to do with it or where to fence it...

Yep, the "nay sayers" and "good enough crowd" gave me a problem for about a year with UAOS..I almost said F88k-it , It's not worth it, I'll keep my idea's to myself.

I have a plan for a simple oil cooler that could be attached to UIDS with it's own circulation system that would not interfere with the oil pressure system, and could be turned ON and OFF as needed. But would need a Mini Muffler system designed because it would mount where the big factory mufflers mount. Charles at LN has an oil cooler that I think is near completion so that's good news and keep your eyes open for it, and I don't have time to be building another product right now, maybe in 6 months I can start another project..

Thanks Shawn, the 986/996 987/997 are great platforms even though they have been the "underdogs" of the Porsche world for 2 decades. I have always been drawn to the underdogs for some reason.

Living in Bama I've always pulled for Auburn over Alabama , even with Alabama's impressive statute ..Auburn has always been the underdog due to their simplistic Agricultural nature, but they have had their big achievements to Society, and even SuperStars in Sports/Athletics and National Championships and have beaten up on UA many times...lol

It's probably due to the way I was raised. When I was 16 I took my Dad to a used car lot to co-sign for me to buy a Canary Yellow 1968 Barracuda "S" with a 340 Special engine. He refused to co-sign, and would only so-sign if I agreed to buy the 1970 West German made Mercury Capri 4 cyl , because it was 2 years newer, and cheaper on gas and insurance...Not to loose sight of my passion, within a few years I had transformed the 1970 Capri with lowered Koni suspension, full Aero Package, and a handbuilt Turbocharge system making a power-to-weight ratio of 5.8lbs/perHP to be the baddest car in the State. It would do 12 seconds flat in the 1/4 mile, and from 60mph kick, would drive away from a Trans-Am SD 455 without even downshifting. It was on par with the AC Shelby Cobra 427 in handling and performance. My Dad paid me to stop terrorizing the streets and local Law Enforcement and build a Race Car, after all it was his fault...lol

Yea, I remember one night in about 1979 I had just done some tricks to the little Capri and was testing them out hammering it in sharp curve when my headlights bounced off the reflective side of a Cop Car, I quickly shut it down, and he flipped on the blue lights even before I passed him. He let me of with a warning because he thought his radar gun was messed up. He said he clocked me at 90 then cleared it and shot again and it was 55, he said there is no way to take that curve at 90...lol
