shhhh….

Recently bought my raptor from a small town dealership in GA. Found it right when they posted it and put non refundable deposit down. They didn’t know what the really had. Saved about $8500 from what they were going for everywhere else.

Mike you are correct, In my opinion I haven’t seen a well bought car on BAT. As someone said before you sell them on BAT you buy them on PCAR or somewhere else.

My zenith blue 99 aerokit did not have them; I think they are unattractive myself

I agree good cars here on rennlist is very possible I think I found a good one on the marketplace in April but hyper priced on bat overkill
my car is a 99 aero and thank god the rear spats were not on it they are hideous they kill the flow in looks
BUT I’m certain they increase the value of a car if factory installed
Mike

Agreed, I think they mess with the flow of the rear and look like a slapped on after thought. Glad mine doesn't have them. I don't know they'd increase the value much, unless someone really wanted factory splats. May not see interest in that for another 20 years if it becomes a "rarity" piece...., but who knows.

Oh, man. Didn't realize the rear spats were so polarizing!

I would have thought a little more than that

I think the Porsche umbrella added to value
The 03 sold for $26,250.00. Pbly no oil change in 4 years killed the value.

I would think it was the color, both exterior and interior, that caused the price to be lower than it could have been…

The oil change was probably the killer. There is a black vf supercharged one. Coupe 6 spd. I may be bidding on that one. I didn’t even bid on this one due to the lack of maintenance, god knows what else is wrong with the car.

Supercharged 996! Careful that could turn out to be a hand grenade with the pin pulled out.

Ok so I was 10 grand too high. But this car was extremely well bought, bucking the trend of people paying too much on BAT and some of the late comments were out of line. Plus Sunday hammer time are you kidding? Nobody normal is in front of their computers at that time of the week. Can't sellers ask for an end auction date change? I certainly would.

No way was it the color holding the price back what have you been drinking Mike?

Hopefully the guy who bought it can do a lot of his own wrenching. If you add up all those crazy cost estimations of deferred maintenance then we are at 38k after BAT fees. I'd bet there is absolutely nothing long term wrong with that car.

Yeah, and right before the grenade goes off, you just finished getting a root canal on every molar without pain killers.

thanks for the info. Just saw 2009 Carrera S coupe 3.8. The guy drove it like a maniac. Anyway almost like he was a race car driver. Radiators were full with leaves. The guy was getting on it without the temperatures being up. Anyway this may be the reason there are a lot of hand grenades out there.
