The buyer won't be too concerned about these items as they will most likely will never drive it...

Space Grey is a darker grey but I wouldn't call it black by any stretch. My '00 996 is Iris Blue over Space Grey, which seems like a pretty rare combo. I know of another Iris Blue 996 in CA with Savannah Beige interior which also looks nice.

Space Grey is a medium to dark grey with a purple tint. The carpet has a purple tint as well. I have a Vesuvio with Space Grey. The full leather option is a smidge darker than the vinyl shown below.

Space grey is really more dark violet. I had the soft touch surfaces paint matched, the plastics are definitely purple not grey.

Edit: Hey Tom, I think we’re shirt brothers! - Vesuvio/space grey here also.

There is a pretty rare combo of Paladio metallic with the factory aero kit over space grey on BAT right now. Link

I dunno. I can't see a garden variety 996 becoming truly collectible no matter what color it is. Aerokit, speed yellow, no miles, yes -- some day. That car, not so much. IMO the dealer is fishing for a rube.

Thanks - I actually like it. Haven't seen it in person and was curious how it compared to the Natural Gray used in my 40AE car. To me it's more charcoal like than natural gray.

That is so weird, I'd never describe any of my interior as being purple, but I just learned that the second letter in the interior code is the plastics and trim. My car is BE. B=space grey and I believe E=Dark Grey. What interior codes do you guys have on your Vesuvios?

Interesting. I don't have a options sticker on my car sadly. I will say that perusing Google images, my space grey interior looks like all the others.

Collectible, no. But just go and look at any plain-Jane 911 from the late 70’s or early 80’s, and they are still desirable and not cheap.

Yes, but 996 is not plain-Jane. It's arguably one of the greatest automotive designs in history. Time proves everything

What year is yours? Mine is a 99 with Sport seats with 177k miles, though the engine was replaced at some point with a factory AT one. It's going to be my long-term project.

Only low mileage and/or unique combinations are likely to make that list.

The automotive market bubble has cooled off. So, the way I see it, the likelihood of investors buying cars for a reasonable payoff in a reasonable amount of time is going to dwindle.
