classic.com has gotten better and better, initially it just had a few auction sites but they have expanded to include some direct sales and you can even list your car for sale on their website now.
i love classic.com it might be my favorite website on the internet. once you setup an account that follows specific markets, their e-mail alerts are like christmas morning.
You can't do it for each and every trim level/roof type/drive/type but you can do it for the vast majority, and for any of them with sales volume.
For example, the 991.1 Carrera 4 can't be broken into sub-markets, but that's because there are only 4 that have been sold in the past 10 years across the board.
For the 996, each model can be broken down into very granular submarkets, such as Manual Coupe 996.2 C4S which is a market I follow.
Seems to me that this is a reasonable price, and he really overpaid earlier this year. I would definitely want to borescope this car prior to buying it though… the story about wanting a cab instead might be true, but a bit odd.
$67k in April was a ridiculously high price, far up in the outliers. That price was actually the second highest price paid for a C4S since they've bottomed out.
$47k now is actually above the moving average. A moving average which is increasing, or perhaps flat, but is definitely not statistically moving down in any way at all.
Sorry, it's not time to worry yet. If it's financials that you are worried about.
@jdbornem i think the 40AE may tell a better story as the cars are very much standard save for sport seats and a rear wiper... theres no way a 30k mile car would have sold for 43k 3-6 months ago and it has been the same in other listing sites as well... once example sold on BAT for 53k and then bought back by the seller on Pcarmarket for 41k... within 6 months...

I used the C4S historical data because that's exactly what @philbert996 was talking about, a C4S. There is enough C4S sales data to show trends. Cherry picking different versions and anecdotal instances can show whatever a person wants.
