On the 996 generation
on the 996 generation the engine is the same. The differences I know are wider body, turbo brakes, heavier, awd. On the 997 the C4S gets the more power. So what differences I am missing , or don’t know about. Insights will be appreciated.

Bat is not the only selling platform
BAT bidding accross the board looks to be pretty strong. Don't know how well sorted the cars are but early bidding is suggesting there is still strong demand for the 996.
Quite frankly, as long as the car is well sorted, it should be. The 996 is the best bargain on the Porsche parking lot any way you want to slice and dice it. Imho, a well sorted 996 C2 with 80k miles should be going for upwards of $60k today.
There is no guesswork on the car. We know what breaks and we know the preventative solutions, all of which are reasonably priced versus later model 911s.

two days ago a 4s didn’t sold bid to about $40 the car didn’t had oil pressure so buyer backed out. He wasn’t penalized, i met a few people that have gotten burned by bat purchases. Anyway you stated over $60k for a well sorted C2. You can get a good car at $30, just see a few listings on Facebook 986&996 buy and sell and low mileage cars compared to the 80k miles that you were describing. Also this week a couple decent cars went for $25k plus fees. I would love for your statement to be true, but at this moment in time is not. Cargurus, cars.com etc. A bunch other places were you can see decent cars. Yes we all know know what to look for, what needs attention, etc, etc, etc. The priced on the pics below is what they asked I’m pretty sure if the want to sell i would offer less with an instantaneous earnest money via Apple Pay, etc.

Factory aero kit in guards red.
im not arguing I’m just saying prices are not that high. Love ❤️ you too. Im inclined to think that the turbo has a better chance of appreciation. These are yesterday’s results bat. The aero kit $31k, the turbo cab, triptonic, 119k miles $50k. I feel Our fellow rennlister from NY that recently sold his orient red IMHO did not got enough for as much as he had in the car. That car was a perfect example of what you were referring to as well sorted and with good modifications as bonuses.

24/7 business, 365 hours a year
Funeral homes, cementeries, nursing homes, healthcare are 24/7 business that are not going to go away because of technology. The average American is getting older. There are a bunch of communities for 50 and older people. Those are not low income housing communities. Hell God knows maybe in 20 years or a bit more I finish in one of those country clubs for old fokes. As long as the have a bar or social hours I’ll be fine.

I can tell you if I were shopping for a turbo It would be a 997.1. The 996 Turbo is great too. Beautiful cars just a shame they didn't get the heckblende really. I've actually had my eye on a 991.1 C2S sport design atm.
