Prices Keep Drifting Up

Mine has been mistaken for a new 911 too. In fact at the 70th anniversary celebration at a local Porsche dealer, my car was parked next to newer Porsche 911s and a little old lady asked the sales person about my car.
She preferred the looks to the 997 & 991.
When I got into my car, she "ran" over to ask me about it and asked if it were for sale.(The sales person was not amused)
I talked to her for a while and she decided to buy the white 911 parked next to mine. (I should have gotten a commission because I talked her into buying it)

Check your local ordinances, but I believe you are legally required to tell that little old lady that you only drive it to church on Sundays

I've told my kids they will likely get to decide who gets my 911, or they can sell it.
Right now I think there might be a battle over it.
If I kick the bucket soon, my wife has instructions to sell it on BaT if she doesn't want one of the the kids (23 & 15) to have it.

Hey Bdronsick, if your theory was true (it isn't), then why do ROW GT cars have no discount over US cars? Your premise is that somehow, GT car prices won't appreciate because.. you can import them? Because it will be cheaper to buy a ROW car? Look at the GT2, you can already import earlier years, No impact.
Also lmao at you deciding to lump in all the Clubsports and RS cars into one bucket while singling out 996 turbo manual coupes as if that is a model. The cognitive dissonance and self-pumping is unreal.
The only 996s that will ever be worth anything are the RS & Clubsport models.

Come to think of it the only cars that will actually appreciate when the 25yr mark comes up are the RS and Clubsport cars. Same for the MK1 GT3s we never got here. ROW is going to see prices increase, not NA. Same as with the MKIV Supra/Skylines/FD, it'll start a couple years prior as buyers purchase early and put cars into storage waiting for the date to come up.

At 25 YO the GT supply in US will vastly increase, If bronto is right and that raises GT prices in US then God bless them

Type 996 is unseen and unheard of now in the United States
You can go your entire life and never encounter any 996. Most people who see mine assume: "Is that the new Carrera??"
996 is now the "lost 911": Eventually values will astronomically reflect this startling and emerging reality

Back on topic…For all the tip/cab deniers check the BaT result today. $40k+. Having an 03, seems like crazy money but I like the trend. Targa tip recently went for 37250 not long ago. Nice to see a little love for some tip cars.
