BaT is the place to bring em'. A little over a week ago more love for C2....04' Targa with 2,000 miles....$53K + fees. Interesting, low mile, low production (relatively) 996's are bringing the $. I have to say...if I was sitting on something like either of these cars....I'd be strongly tempted to sell. But who am I kidding, I like to drive em' too much so I wouldn't have one to bring to market that would command that kind of $.

I watched the final 5 minutes or so, because the auction kept rewinding to 2 minutes as the two participants were out bidding each other. On the threads while watching there were many comments on how the 996 passed 997's then 997 4's then 997's 4s, it was amazing. My kids will be extremely happy.

A "Changing of the Guard" has taken place, the car hasn't changed. It will be interesting to see what happens next....

We are obviously in a bubble. This multiplier was just too high to be the market or repeatable.

Federal Reserve must have expanded their monetary expansion beyond bonds to include 996s.

Looks like we are going to have to raise the insurance replacement values of our cars. Gonna make track insurance more expensive as well.

How have prices of the 997 been? I know used cars are up in general and the 996 had a lot more room to grow but curious about how 997 era has been.

I consider that smarter buyers and dumb sellers...the inverse of bat. Bat numbers are stupid. There are much better cars than the 996 available for what people are paying on bat (if better=performant)
