Honestly it's just nice to know that should any of us decide to sell, that we can at least break even over or get a little extra, all while having the joy of owning such a great car. If I was going to flex/humblebrag I'd talk about all my Apple stock and girlfriends.

I really have been away from my own thread for a while, glad to see everyone is having fun. When this thread started, what everyone thought was an outlier 996 selling price was to the upside. Now the outliers are consistently to the downside in price. That's how much the market has shifted within this calendar year.

Winter tires going on my 996 this weekend, bring on the snow!!

We can't rely on BAT any longer for true market value. I know for a fact, many E30 M3's that sold on BAT didn't get sold. They were listed on forums later then sold.

What once was a reliable indicator is slowly turning onto "market manipulation". Just a matter of time before they change their way of doing business or it will entirely become a joke.

Their jump the shark moment was when they sold out.

More than pandemic and chip shortages Tesla has changed the car market. The Model Y is expected to be best selling car in Europe in a few years, not best selling electric, not best selling car in it's class, best selling car. Car companies are crapping their shorts, copying Tesla interiors, retooling, pledging to be mostly electric by 20??. That's disruption.

Just Friends, 2005
I was sleeping on my parents couch while my old man watched it and woke me up to tell me there's a Porsche in the movie.

Ah ****, that's it. Don't mind some Amy Smart and Anna Faris. Rotten Tomatoe's it has a 2 star rating...., Amazon has 5 stars. Not sure what that means, stars are drifting up thus making 996 drift up?

Amy Smart is incredibly hotBut that movie sucked
it's a .1 with ruff wheels, tire chains, a 4 spoke wheel, aero front bumper, fake turbo rear bumper and a taco. Arena red is nice I guess. Black calipers so it's a C2

If someone thinks they have found evidence to support their confirmation bias, whatever it is, go back a year and try to find a legit comp (spec, mileage, and condition) so that your post actually has a small amount of context.
Actually, you need to do more than that. You need a list of all sales and some way of valuing the condition of the car. As you said, the listing price of teh sale and the actual agreeded upon price of the sale are most often two different things and the final price often unknowable.
