It's because Mike Brewer of the show "Wheeler Dealers" moved the show back to the UK and dumped that idiot "Ant" in favor of a new technical guy who seems much less offensive. And Mike needs some low cost cars to handle on the show, so the UK prices for all cars went down.

But speed yellow? Isn't that worth an extra 100 grand?

Not the cleanest but 8/10 overall and on original IMS.

Even if we are at the top of the 996 market, how much can it really drop from here?
since is local, drive it, look at the oil, look at the coolant, hook up the durametric cam deviations, fuel trims, hook up the manometer. As long as all this check up , there are no weir noises and it drives good, I would buy it at that price.

True, unfortunately Speed Yellow only adds $10K - $15K to the wet-sumps

That is 93k USD not 100k.

here are some comps

https://www.classic.com/veh/2005-por...92148-pdXG5Zp/
https://www.classic.com/veh/2004-por...92892-pgX32O4/

Basic colors with similar mileage going for 5k-20k more. The last prices for 996 GT3 in the USA are 163k, 114k, 115k, 125k, 116k, 96k, 100k, 140k, 110k.... I think this car would've brought at least 5-10k more in the US. I guess if you consider 93k to be the same as 100k then prices are pretty similar, yes.

On almost every model page the prices for auctions in the UK are significantly lower than the US. Inflation? Supply chain issues? Are people in the UK smarter? Poorer? Richer? Do they have other things to buy? What gives?

I'd like every armchair expert's opinion please
(1) Compare the size of the buyer pool in the US vs UK
(2) Historic US Stock Market run/Free $ via stimulus
(3) Steering wheel on the proper side.......

$93K plus UK VAT is a lot more than $100K. And then you have the carbon tax. That car was about $130K USD apples-apples

Economic markets account for all of that “silently”

So you're saying that prices are lower because they have higher taxes. I will accept that answer.

If there's a profitable arbitrage available the market will adjust and squeeze it out eventually. Not that unique opportunities don't present themselves, but on a large scale Free Markets work.

That’s some stellar work blowing up the engine in half a day. Did someone drain the oil, plug the AOS and pop a link on the IMS chain, then do a 5,000 rpm clutch drop launch? Ha! You did not. But you wanted to.
