Nice ! Yours is better.
Hopefully we’ll get a chance to catch up when the weather turns. I’d like to see it in person, the calipers came out awesome !
I was hoping for the bronze springs, somehow ended up with everything but haha

Ooooh yeah ! its on like donkey kong this weekend...last parts going on the car... home stretch to sitting on 4 patches of rubber, corner balance / alignment and engine noise, all the engine noise... Can not wait to see what she weighs... still taking bets... Winner can take a pick of any suspension pieces I still have that came off the car.
Off to figure out how to this thing is supposed to be installed and initial settings, couple little plastic bushings came with it, no idea what the deal with those little guys is.

And the interior is complete again for the 5th time this winter !
Remote adjusters in... they are in fact kinda slick and I can reach them from outside the car just reaching one arm in.

Mine was done by the PO, If I had to guess, my detective skills would lead me to spray paint... there's a ****-ton of overspray. I wonder if people powder coat them...
Taking a half time... I finished a door panel... What can I say I love about it... I won't slice my arm on the metal door frame... that's about it. Hats off to RyanH for his very nice looking setup... Mine, not so much. I'm going to run with it but likely change it up to something more like cutting the not needed sections of the door our and just putting a flat carbon panel in.
Also, half way through the LCA install... Ball joints not my favorite thing to mess with.

Had mine powder coated locally. Thought about painting but wasn't sure how much prep work would be necessary. In my research this paint seemed to be well regarded (after the proper prep work): https://www.g2usa.com/product/G3.html

Did you rebuild the calipers in the process... Cause I'm cheap and like to dream I'd love to know ballpark pricing for the work you had done.

Thx. Powder coating was $500 total. ZZ Powdercoating in New London, CT. Small father-son operation (also gonna have them ceramic coat my full exhaust one I'm happy with it). Rebuilt the calipers (reused pistons as they looked great), upgraded the rubber lines to Speigler, and replaced the short lines between the brackets and calipers. Buy the rebuild kit from FCP. Thought I was able to find the Genuine seals for cheap elsewhere, but turned out to be only one size of the dust boots and nothing else. My detailed spreadsheet is on my office computer, but I think I'm all in on brakes for about a grand. Pads and rotors were done just before I got the car, so no rush to upgrade those.

$1K for the refinish and rebuild sounds very reasonable to me, especially with the quality of the job.
New London about an hour from me, I'd be happy to give small father / son shop the biz... I'll reach out to them if / when ready - prob at end of season if I decide to stick with the stock calipers which I'd say is very likely.
Thanks for the info brother !
So... LCA’s are in. Tomorrow torque check on all suspension, change the plugs out and fluid check and we’ll be ready to put wheels / tires back in and be back on the ground.

I'm smoked... Long day.
Changed plugs
Installed Demon Speed toe lock out
Touched and torqued to spec every bolt in the suspension
Skid plate back on
Power Steering fluid topped off
And.....She's back on the ground...needs a bath BAD but on the ground. Car is sitting higher with the stiff springs... I am going to let the pros get her right when they corner balance.
Checked pressure in the tires before I put them on and very happy both wheels I assembled were within a LB of where I left them...
Anyway.... Heres a look at the plugs that came out, were put on just before I bought the car and have like 10K miles.
