Dropped the 996 off for some maintenance and parked it next to my dream car.
And I’m not talking about the Karmann Ghia ( although this is a really nice example)

Swapped the taco wing for a standard deck lid. Loving the 996 ‘touring’ look

It's nice to be able to quickly swap rear decks.
If you purchase a fan and latch for each deck it makes it even easier.,.
4 bolts and an electrical connector and you're done.
...then people will think your have multiple Porsches.

Are you front bumper/lip and side skirts oem or aftermarket and where did you pick them up? The lack of a front chin is bugging me constantly.

All OEM and originally specced with the car. Glad someone ticked the right box's when they ordered this in '99!

Just picked it up from the liquid wrap place, my arctic silver paint was in decent condition but starting to have some issues after 22 years, so it seemed like the perfect time to live a little. Voodoo blue with acid green calipers, in a few years I'll probably peel it off and switch to something else, but in the meantime it should take the worst of the rock chips or whatever else gets thrown at it. It wouldn't stand up to a concours inspection, but for a daily driver I think it came out great. I'm also going for the "touring" look, but only because a PO added the bumper/skirts and I don't want to buy the taco lol.

I like it and I actually have the acid green paint and brembo stickers sitting in my parts pile to do my calipers... great minds

If I were to make a suggestion, more low would make it look more betterer.

Its a dance between aesthetics and ground clearance, I'm considering doing the suspension this winter so will have to decide soon, maybe some positive rake.

The shop I went with does $1500 for matte and $2500 for high gloss, then has some options for additional cut/polish. I went for the high end since it was the first time, was out the door for about $4k.
