Is that updated hose applicable to the 3.4L engines? I see the updated hose and connection PNs on the Auto Atlanta diagrams, but they're listed for 02 and up.

Uro has that hose. If u cant find it ill send u my slightly used one. To use the p-car updated one u have to change the outlet on the cassett and maybe the tube that goes over the motor

Thanks. Looks like the Genuine hoses are readily available. From the pics I've seen, the updated hose has the clip style connection on both ends which doesn't look like it would work without also replacing the feed pipe.

In other news...floor mounted the driver's bucket. Didn't realized all you normal sized people could actually see all the gauges this whole time. Still haven't decided what direction to go with the center console.

Got my first oil analysis back!!
It's actually the last three oil changes. Each about one year and 1600 miles. I had just stored the old oil, and now got around to sending all samples in at once.
Thankfully it looks good! I was nervous.
I'm confused about the Oxidation Value. They say a higher number is worse. My number is going up but is now green. Although, I have two different brands of oil, and one unknown brand, so maybe it's just brand dependent? But how do they determine the green/yellow indicator? I may post questions in one of the oil analysis threads.

Installed a Soler 78mm tb and gave it a pull, combined with new AP headers. The new header and 4mm throttle body diameter increase resulted in greater air flow of 12 g/s (corrected) or 4.3%. 3.8L with Softronics, Top Gear 200 cell, mild sport. For those who don’t want to do more math, the 78mm increased diameter by 5.2%.
Also put on the Spacer Shop steering wheel spacer. Love it! Over two more inches extra clearance. Install video spot on. I’ve never removed a steering wheel air bag until yesterday and the tips on RL also helped. Took 60 minutes from battery disco. Only drawback for the spacer/extender is the control stalks are pretty far away from the fingers. Smaller hands may not do well. My wife and I don’t have the wheel sitting directly over the knees any more.
Not associated with any vendor or seller.

Installed my locally Fistered mufflers today. They did a good job. Dropped them off yesterday afternoon and picked them up late this afternoon. I dig the exhaust note, as everyone does...and NO drone. The bonus this past weekend while removing them was that NO hardware was seized. The muffler clamps were a little crusty, but I soaked them for a few days, then brushed them up with the Dremel wire wheel and they broke loose nicely.
All in all a nice little project.

I won't be able to give an opinion on this one!!!! I've only driven my 996 from the delivery flatbed into the garage (roughly 400 feet) before removing and rebuilding the engine. I've driven a few other 996's but they've all had suspension work so I won't really have a comparison. This one isn't road legal just yet. Hopefully I can get my license plate tomorrow.
