Wonder if there is any difference as there are those two black bracing bars installed from the factory. Go take that thing around some twisties and report back

I am also in the First settlers, I have yet to go to an event. My car has been an on going project the past 2 years so I haven’t had a fun car to take. I do however live in north side about 15 mins from Joe’s inn, and plan on going to some events once I finish this car up.

This oddly enough is stock springs. I did have 15mm spacers on the rear and 13mm spacers on the front at the time. Since then I have installed H&R lowering springs because I got them from a fellow member for a steal. I do however want to eventually upgrade to coil overs.
Stafford is a great area. I am often up in the norther Va area for work

Default Radio Whine and Locking Gas Flap

Repaired both of these today. Radio whine was just from loose connections at the amp. But I also took the time to ensure the power and speaker wires were properly separated.

I also took the time to get the gas flap locking again. Just took a small grommet to get the locking arm to line up correctly with the flap. All good now.

Rolled rear fenders to make some more clearance for the E88's and 305's. The pass side cut into the tire on a short drive right after I mounted them so step 1 was getting the fenders rolled.

I have no idea if the fender roll is enough cause its either rained, or snowed here for the past week so no testing today. Hopefully I'll get a chance to get the car out before real weather sets in and toss it around a bit to see if it still rubs.

Regardless, another half degree or so of camber will be dialed in next alignment - hopefully that will ensure full suspension travel and be where the R comps are happiest, win/win.

Finally got the brake fluid flush off my to-do list. Looks like it was really needed. Used Pentosin Dot 4. Do any types come green originally, or was mine just that bad?

Old (left), New (right).

Lot's of water (>4%). I don't have records of when/if it had been replaced.

It was very easy using the power bleeder.

NIce work! Green is bad. Mine was the same. I will flush again shortly (6 months) to make sure all of the old is out of nooks and crannies. Then start the 2 year cycle.

Yellow and blue makes green!
I'm guessing you have some old Blue brake fluid mixed with some amber.
I wish you could still get blue. STUPID DOT!!!

Default New headlights

Just picked up a 2000 c2 cab few weeks ago. I am very excited to give the car a little refresh in a few department. One of them I feel it’s the headlights. Most 996 pictures I see have yellow or dull headlights which really take away the appearance of the car. So I bought a pair of fresh litronic to upgrade my halogen. I cannot wait to put them on. Will be going to the shop to apply a uv film.

My current headlight
