The heat gun helped a lot and also the fact that I didn't try to save the installed one...

That's so nice, it needs to be bumped to this page (for those with the 15 posts/page setting).

I like the tail. What type is it?

Well i was gonna replace the Walther low temp t-stat with an LN low temp but someone at LN decided to relabel the box and i got the install tool instead. AutohuasAZ is correcting the problem but its dissappointing when u dont get what u ordered. I asked Autohuas to call LN so they dont do the same thing as the part numbers r only one different.

Scott, I found that Porsche OEM tail in S.F. craigslist, since he lives in S.F. I called him immediately go and buy it for me, LOL since it matched his color I let him have it. It is OEM spoiler GT3 cabriolet. paid 1500.

Yep, that’s it! Went thru the mountains from Los Altos to Santa Cruz. I think we were on Hwy 9 for a bit of it, not totally sure of the route tho.

Yeah, that's it. Thanks!

The convenience store (Wild Roots Market) in the picture is located just past the Chevron Station at the corner of Big Basin Way & Hwy 9, which is how I recall the sign/side of the building.

I seldom drive thru Boulder Creek towards Felton/Santa Cruz. Too much traffic for my taste on Hwy 9. I always turn right at Basin Basin Way before entering Boulder Creek which I take to Jamison Creek to the top of the ridge and then and down the hill into Santa Cruz via Empire Grade.

A great way to AVOID the traffic on 9 if you haven't taken it before.

I finally took my '99 C2 Cab over this road.

Only scared myself a few times...honest.

Looks like fun!

Haven't driven that section of 175 but have driven it from Middletown to Cobb to Kelseyville than around the lake back to Middletown via 29/20/53/29.

It's a road that my MR2 would love but the 911 is probably a bit too over-powered and a bit too heavy to handle it quite as well.

I hit it hard on my eastbound drive towards the lake. Agree an MR2 might be a little lighter on its feet, but it was still a blast ripping out of those hairpins in 2nd gear!

Took it more slowly westbound because I lost my eyeglasses in the lake. Some crazy woman in a Mazda actually caught up to me and I let her go by. Must have been a local who drives it all the time (at least that's my story and I am sticking to it.)

Since I had to put in LONG hours on Saturday and Sunday, I took today off.

I went from this:

To this:

Hub and 15mm spacer came from Carnewal.
No airbag light. (Gert’s included resistor worked great)
Somewhere I have a Porsche horn button that I‘ll install when I get a chance.
The horn isn’t working, but I think I know where to start for a fix.
I‘ll pull the MOMO wheel and Carnewal hub and take a look when I get a chance.
I had to finish quickly due to family emergency. (Mother in law’s yard guy has COVID and her yard needs mowing NOW!)

Oh, and I can see the top of my gauges.

UPDATE: Honk Honk! Horn works. Only took about 45 minutes to resolve.

Yet another Update: I’ve had several of y’all ask, no I don’t plan on selling my old 3-spoke steering wheel, I‘ll be keeping it. It is Metropol Blue, so it wouldn’t work for most of y’all anyways. I do have an old black 4-spoke that could use a new home.

Before:

Final product:

Next in line tails and clear sides (still partial on the tail lights, going to install and feel it out. Saw someone else post these and made an impulse buy thinking it'd look good with Guards Red):

Should I decide to sell I've kept all the OEM so hopefully this will cater to a broader audience.

I bench tested a $9.00 Ebay bluetooth module for the Becker AUX input to see if it would be a better choice than the wired version with the 3.5mm mini plug.

I’m sure you can sell them if you don’t like them.
If the timing is right, I might be interested.
