Anybody want some used Brembo pads with around 5000 miles on them?
I'll trade you for something you don't want.

Default Raid steering wheel

Installed Raid 320mm steering wheel I got from another member. It feels awesome compared to my old one.

I tried Brembo pads F&R and was not impressed. (I threw them out after less that 6 months)
Hopefully their rotors are better.
Is the Akebono EUR917 the correct pads for the front of my 03 C2?

Whenever I have any concerns about parts, I research the Pelican Parts articles, or I call them up and explain the problem. They have never steered me wrong.

These 911-specific sites have expertise that’s worth the added cost, sometimes added delay versus Amazon or others.

According to a fitment check Akebono's part reference page, yes it fits a 2003 C2 (as well as a 2000 Boxster) but does NOT fit my 2000 C4 Cab. See: https://partcat.com/akebono

BTW, after checking the pics of the EUR917 with what I got, I'm not even sure the pads I received are EUR917s because they don't look anything like the pics, even though the box they came in is marked EUR917.

I know you can't go by just the pics but that's even more messed up if the "right" pads aren't in the box!!!!

It wasn't hard reaching a person at eBay but I had to wade my way thru their "help" page by saying that nothing in the help pages "helped" and then they offer to contact you via online chat or a phone call from them.

I did the latter and they called back w/in 5 mins. Pretty good, IMO.

Yeah, the RockAtuo pictures of the Eur917s sucks.
Here's FCP Euro's picture of the EUR917:

Yeah, those are what are in the EUR917 box but they're not the ones that'll fit my car.

Do you have a Carrera 2/4 or 4S?
If 4S, they fit the rear.
If C2 or C4, they should fit the front.

Got a picture of the current pads?

I've got a 2000 C4 Cab.

According to Akebono itself based on the product search that I did on their site (see link above), only the EUR776 fits the 2000 911 (they do not discriminate between C2 or C4) in front. The EUR738 is designated for the rear.

Not yet but according to AMZN they have already shipped. Due to receive them sometime next week. Will post a pic if/when I get them.

The top pad in this pic is a Akebono EUR776 that I installed a few weeks ago. The difference between the 776 and the 917 is that the 917 has the ears with the round weights on them. They both fit though.
It's my understanding that the weights are to reduce vibration and squealing. The weights are more common on street pads and not so much on performance pads. So far I haven't noticed any difference between the old weighted Textars and the unweighted Akebonos.

The upper one is what the EUR776 looks like in pics I've seen.

I've actually gotten conflicting info on whether my 2000 C4 Cab will take the EUR917 or EUR776 up front. Tire Rack says the EUR917 will fit but AMZN and Akebono says only the EUR776 will fit.

So, I'm just going w/what Akebono specifies.

I really like the contrast of the black center console on beige interior. Considering doing this to mine, however it's full Savannah beige. Question is, would this affect a purist down the road if I planned to sell? It will remain relatively low mileage as it doesn't see the road very often.

You might try something like this. Reasonable price and you can keep your original console. https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/PK9X6PC.html
