Installed the LNE 0.5 qt extended sump today. Great YouTube videos by Jake Raby that made this a not-to-difficult job. Will finish the oil fill tomorrow.

Yes, it’s a very simple mod.
I actually enjoyed installing my LNE 2qt deep Sump.
But I think next time (if/when I buy another 996 or Boxster) I‘ll just go with the 1/2 qt.

Romoved front bumber and wheel liner on my 996.2 cab to change the driver side electrical cooling fan since it did not work at its low speed. Quite easy to remove everything and change the fan but very hard to refit the plastic duct for stearing the air downwards behind the fan. I almost gave up but finally it slided in position
While bumper was off I also cleaned between the radiators and condensors and although they looked clean from outside, a lot of leafs and dirt were hidden in there. Good day in the garage

I considered the 2 qt but was concerned it wouldn't fit with the sump guard plate. And the car doesn't see tracks, just great Twisties.

Default Getting ready to change the Window Regulator today

This and possibly remove passenger Litronic for corrosion on Turn signal socket.

Found that my replacement battery tray from eBay did not match what I had in the car ('99 C2). Anyone recognize which car the tray on the right is from? It is completely straight on both sides and the bolt pattern is staggered on both ends.

Will it not fit at all?
Just clean and paint the old one with some bed liner.

Couple of the holes are off enough that I would have to drill new ones. The foam piece pattern on the bottom is also off so will not seal against the bulkhead fully. The used part was 20 bucks so seemed worth the upgrade.

The one on the right matches what someone is selling as a '2007 997 turbo" tray on Ebay.

Thanks! The eBay parts finder shows this as incompatible for a 99 C2 ...as expected. Guess the wrong item got shipped out to me. In any case I need to cleanup the rust from all the associated hardware for the battery tray so this job will see another day. I put everything back together and went for a long drive today.

Default Showed her some interior love

I went on a social distancing group ride with a bunch of local friends yesterday. She treated me really well, ran like a top, hugged the road, and looked sexy. So, since she showed me some love, I did the same today.

I used Griot’s Garage 3-in-1 leather cleaner and conditioner on the seats and the rest of the leather inside. I noticed she needed some love when I was driving yesterday. Looks much better now!

I also removed my suede Momo Mod 7 steering wheel and cleaned the suede. It had gotten a bit dirty and developed a sheen.

I also went for a drive today, was going to clean my car as well and just feel blah. I had another 911 owner stop and compliment my license plate so that was nice.

I started mine today after 9 long days. Fired right up. Then I took a short drive to drop off some essential paperwork in the mail. And to buy some essential beer.
