I've said it before and I'll say it again curve lover - what a fantastic car. Really love that car in Guards Red
RS man-- Tapadh leat!
You should also love it in this month's Total 911 Magazine.
Authored by RLer John Boggiano; photography by Lee Glide & Daniel J. Whelchel. All a pleasure to work with.
(BTW, John's article features what is my current Porsche, & his next one!)
AWESOME!!!!!! You have just built my dream car. Congrats on a tough road to completion. Your hard work has paid off 10 fold. That car is absolutely stunning.
Means a TON from you; I'm a huge fan of your topless 993 craftsmanship & detailed eye Thanks, Mike!
Went to pick up Total911 and Borders didn't have the new issue yet???? Was supposed to be on the stands Dec. 30th.....
They run 2 months behind, we're just getting the November issue now It's a delayed release system designed to encourage subscriptions for foreign periodicals, and, if we earned our money in British Pounds, a years subscription would cost the dollar equivalent of $35 plus about $30 for shipping from England. Since the Pound costs us 60% more at $1.61 exchange, the current U.S. rate of $100/yr for a subscription makes sense. It's a bargain compared to last years exchange rate of $1.98 to the Pound .....
Curve lover,
Love your car man!! I think someone has finally trumped me for buying more carbon fiber from Marcus than anyone. LOL!!! Your car looks like it came from the factory and that is the biggest compliment I can possibly pay you as nothing looks "aftermarket'. Congrats again...maybe I need a sub to Total911. I remember when it came out...couldn't find it and eventually gave up.

Some of the best compliments I have had on my car have been ones about the inside of it.

I have Marcus Buehler's excellent handiwork to thank for the remainder: custom-made dash covers & sills.
Today I changed my avatar & remembered another carbon fiber accessory: license plate frame. Including the custom-inlaid silver "993" logo, it was produced by 5ivefifty. (No further affiliation.)
Now it's a conclusive carbon credit list ... 'til I realize something else to add!

If price is no object look into the leather or vinyl covered, padded rollbar by Techart. I understand this rollbar was avaliable factory installed by special order. It is approved by both European and U.S safety agencies (TUV and ???).
It is very pricey, listing at between $1,700 and $2300 depending on the pading and covering material. I have one in my Cab and can testify to it's quality. The rear seat is still useable for children under 10yrs, but the comfort level is reduced. The wind shield is not useable.
Most members of this board will recommend the DAS rollbar. It is also a very good unit and sells for less than half the Techart unit's price, but you will have to take care of the cosmetics yourself.

The following's discontinued by Gemballa. FWIW, notice transition from black to red - approaching a full cage enclosure (not necessary for my pursuits).

FINALLY got Total 911 featuring Speedy today. Kinda like seeing a close friend or family member on TV; you know the story but you read every single word (and oggle the pics of course) like you're discovering something new.
Now we just need that other article to hit the stands!
