Planning to sew up my headliner today so I can install that in the coming days. Once that is done, I can set all the glass and then start punching down the list in reverse order of how I took it all apart.
Can you create a thread to show the rebuild process? Or keep posting pics here? Would love to see it all come back together

Edwin

Sure, will try to post updates here.

If you're on instagram @boomboomthump I typically post videos/pics on my stories. They end up disappearing but its a lot easier to post the play by play.

Made my Alcantara headliner the other day to match everything else I previously recovered in it. This weekend's project will be fitting it.

Excuse my instagram commentary, LOL.

Fantastic color choice! Not that you care, because you’re not selling, surely this respray increased the value of your car.

How many other “while you’re in there” upgrades has this inspired? Obviously the headliner and interior bits are upgraded. Anything mechanical?

Can’t wait to see this on the road!

LOL... well I don't paint

Tonight's project... reassemble the mirrors. For anyone who didn't catch my how-to on disassembling mirrors, here it is. Just performed the steps in reverse and ended up with quite a few calluses on my hands. Those springs are no joke! Sidenote: will likely get some new glass for the mirrors. Hadn't noticed previously that they have quite a new nicks, especially the passenger side glass.

I also did some minor prep work and surface cleaning in the car to get ready for the headliner install on Saturday.

Only things for now are: RS motor mounts, Rennline tubular engine carrier, MPL slave cylinder (RS clutch is a bear), rebuilt the whole Varioram intake to address some leaks and powder coated it black, converted to a Clewett pulley setup, rebuilt the dual distributor and resealed the timing chain covers and valve covers.

Not much else planned for right now other than getting the car back together. It already has KW V3's. After I enjoy it a bit, may head down the rabbit hole of other suspension bits and bushings. Also toying with building my own full Ti exhaust setup (yes, I tig weld too).

Oh wow! Set up a jig. Surely, there would interest for a few more, if you care to make a buck.

Looking awesome! I like the Singer as well, very neat. Every time I click this thread it makes me want to do a color change as well.
