The black car referenced above is the last 993 for the US market, built for Jerry Seinfeld. Build date is 12/9/97. See this thread.

The blue car is the last 993 period (until project gold), not for the US market. It was built in March 1998, there is a photo with the production line (see below).

Also, the blue car (which is a Euro Carrera 4S) was actually supposed to be Mexico Blue, but they couldn’t get the color right and Jerry said the color was actually closer to Riviera Blue according to this post.

Either way, as Jerry’s is a 4S I believe my car is the only Riviera Blue 98 C2S in existence

Great chart, Zed. Could you please post one for the C2S and a separate one for a 993 C2 ? Many thanks!

Any opinions? 45,000 miles, Arena Red and Classic Gray. ROW M030 and Bilsteins. 18” TT wheels, all the correct mods done in almost 20 years of ownership and all paperwork from day one. Cosmetically as new.

I insure with Heacock so could easily raise my coverage - but to what amount in this crazy market?

Any thoughts appreciated.
I’ve been thinking the same lately. My car is a C2 with 38k miles and I was thinking of increasing my agreed value from $75k to $85k

Old posts on the blue vs black Seinfeld cars mentioned above. I remember the black one being listed on eBay for around $75K, but that had to have been in 2008 or so.....

In summary, I think it was concluded that the Black one was the last intended for part of the world: North America. While the Blue one was the last intended for all of the world. In other words, originally not intended for US but that changed.

correct, see my post above

black last for US market, produced 12/97, tip and currently for sale for $250k

blue last for world, produced 3/98 and was a Euro Carrera 4S, I think it is still owned by Jerry S.

Better yet, here is the Hagerty valuation tool that you can use for any car, years, series that you like.

Remember this is likely not updated frequently or real time and is likely based on insured values in their database and not actual sale prices which are difficult to really know. I believe many cars are private sales and never recorded. Mine was

Thank you. Agree. It looks like there are significantly behind the market. I'd really like to find links to / documentation of the top 3 highest sales of a C2S to set my insurance appropriately so that I'm not going back at this every month,.

They are! I just submitted a request via the portal to have my valuation increased. I waited on hold prior to that for 37 minutes. Hasn't been approved yet but it states 2 days. I just looked at auction site sales data, private sale data from what can be garnered online and used April Bank of Canada exchange rate (only because I'm in Canada and use the US market for valuation as that is where inventory comes from primarily, including my car). Even when I first registered the car with them in February, they were behind in valuation.

one-owner (turbo) C4S brings $116k on BaT. surprising for a one-owner car with 43k miles, but i think some of the track related items and other miscues cost him.
take it back to stock, dump the hoosiers, etc. and it brings more, imo. couldn't do much about those embroidered headrests, though.

That site 'classic" doesn't seem to capture the big private sales I am hearing about and the Tarek $155+ sales.

I don't know of any site that captures all sales, but this one seems to have the most, & is much more up to date than hagerty.

Tarek again. Oh and it’s a 98C2S with 26,000 miles, where he keeps getting these beats me.

With due respect, you would be doing EXTRAORDINARILY well to sell your car for $75k today, so I'd say the value is appropriate.
