C4S is more desirable than a C2S .... C2S is nothing but a C2 with a Widebody on it and nothing special as the C4S was most based off the Turbo with AWD, Big Reds, Turbo ABS System and Suspension. Current Auction prices have told the real story as of late.

So... the less rare variant without the Split Grill and has all of the heavy, complicated add-ons of a Turbo but without the power C2S cars come up for sale far less but always carry a premium over the C4S cars

I didn't want to respond to the comment about C4S being the "better car". It seems in the 993 section some folks are really concerned with who's is best (general observation).
But I will say, who really cares. I care because I'm seeking proper valuation. My preference is widebody, whatever generation. Gbody I would take narrow body as well. Earlier gens though narrow, still hot. They are all good and kudos to us all for having the one(s) we own.
Frustrating that Hagerty doesn't understand that C2S most always fetch a premium. There are next to no public sales recently on these.

It's all in fun. I really don't think anyone in here thinks one is really better than the other.
Usually, I'd say add $10k to the market value for a C4S to get a general C2S valuation (assuming the cars are equivalent mileage, condition, year, color). Not sure if that still applies nowadays, but it's probably in the ballpark. Naturally, a rare color changes everything (Riviera, Vesuvio, etc).

Lol @ C4S being more desirable than C2S. Tripping. I recently bought a C2S for more than the “rest my case” evidence. I weeded through plenty of nice C4S examples. Wasn’t interested. I wanted a turbo or C2S. C2S is the only rear wheel drive widebody 993 which is pretty sweet.
you submitted a tip and one with mods and almost double the miles, and oh yea repaired damage. I am not sure if being funny or not but I thought C2S bringing more money was pretty common knowledge.

I love the enthusiasm to defend the C4S argument, but I'm sorry, you're delusional if you think it's more sought after.
That Black car went for $12k less but it had almost double the miles and an accident history (non-starter for the vast majority of the buyer pool right there). Pretty competitive, all things considered.
Its laughable to even say the C4S is "more desirable" , The C2S is the rarer & more sought after car, and always commands a higher premium. Sure C4S has the Turbo parts but its not the more desirable car. Also that Black C2S that sold for $135 on BaT was 2 months ago rite at the beginning of the price hike, and would now probably sell for $150 at least even with accident , as for the C2S on Pcar that thing didn't have the proper look or color combo. Its pretty easy to find a C4S, but a C2S is very hard to find and always commands more money.
here are some C2S on market , I also think chequered flag has one for $170 , Tarek just listed one today $160 and you can see he listed a c4s yesterday $135, the C2S is always going to command more money, that’s a fact
For sure the 2S is more desirable, foremost less weight and rarer = $ + the looks of the rear deck is stunning hint back to 356. Porsche specialized dealers are asking at least 15% + over a 4S all things even.
