Default "Last" 993 Produced for US?

There's lots of info around about the "last 993's" produced for North America.

After researching, I thought it was this 98' Black C2S Tip, sold to Jerry Seinfeld.
Special Yellow Brakes, Yellow Belts, 911 Badge.
It had a plaque stating it was the last air cooled 911 to leave the factory for the US market. Its VIN was WP0AA2998WS321327

Im in the market to buy another 993.
There's a One Owner, Guards Red C2S for sale
over at RPM Sports Car that is perfect.
And after looking at the original window sticker,
I noticed its VIN...

It ENDS with WS321334!! Was this car a special production run?

How can this be? How can WS321334 be made after Seinfeld's last, WS321327?

Does anybody have any info on exactly what happened here? Did the factory have a small limited run after they initially thought they were done?
Im pretty excited at the prospect of this car having this special attachment
to it.

Seinfeld's was the last 993 produced for North America... perhaps you are looking at a ROW car?

In reading the plaque on JS (original owner) 321327 vehicle it states"...the last air cooled Porsche that left the factory for North America." It does not state: the "last air cooled Porsche made for North America."

Not putting too fine a point on it, but perhaps there were a few more 993s bound for North America going down the line after 321327 was pulled off the line and sent to the "special wishes" department for the deviations, i.e. seat belts, caliper paint, rear emblem, and all important frunk commemoration plaque. And, by the time this extra work was completed the 'line mates' it shared construction with had all left the factory for shipment and it was the last example out the door, but not the last to leave the production line.

There was a fellow on here who stated his VIN was higher than the Seinfeld car. I don't know what that means exactly but Seinfelds car sure has the documentation to prove it. As I also understand it, all of the last few hundred 993's were finished in the exclusive shops because the main assembly was gearing up for the 996. Would make sense that once off the main assembly line, the order of vehicles could have been shuffled from the more unconventional assembly.

Intersting about the numbers. Looks like a pretty cool car.

A little OT here, but was there an uncharge for an "S" model in '98 over the NB from the previous years? I know my lowly '96 had a higher MSRP with only a few meh options.

1334 vin started with WP0AA, so that makes it a N. America car, I believe.

My own car, a '98 C2S black on red tip, has a vin ending in 1276, and it was assembled on the same day as the Seinfeld car.

Vin numbers did not necessarily finish in sequence, I've heard.

Johnny-- When Roads Scholars sold that car they advertised it as, "the last air cooled 911 to leave the factory for the US market."

My '98 ends in WS340206 so which are the relevant numbers, the last three
The 993 that in my mind has true historical significance would be the last air cooled off the line irrespective of destination
Think about it, otherwise the claims could be endless
Mine was the last air cooled for Japan
Mine for France
Mine for Saudi Arabia
So the real find is the very last to roll off the line, is it at the Porsche Museum or part of Wolfgang's collection ?
Jerry does have the very first one, or was that the first for N.A.

Hold on a minute, I think mine may well be the last Carrera 4 cab for N.A. maybe the world considering how few were made
Forget the C.O.A. I may need a commemorative plaque here

I thought the last 993 was some shade of light blue - and Seinfeld owns it. NO?

I notice the oval muffler tips in the 4th picture down. Has that been changed to wide ovals or did '98's come with ovals? My '97 C2S has the standard rectangular tips.

Per Panorama, printed after March 1998: "The last air-cooled Porsche ever to be built ... rolled off the production line"

^^^^ This

So, it may be one of the last, but not the last. And certainly not officially the last.

Might be a nice conversation piece to have one of the last ones, but I'd think it adds little monetary value to the car
