personal opinion here- but i think one thing driving 993 values is that new Porsche 911's are taking BACK some of the traditional lines and styling in a modern way, making the "original" look even better. Obviously, stock market, COVID fever buying ( on all things) and a lot of other things play here too- but I love seeing the newest 911's beginning to look a lot like my wonderful 993 C4S!

3 bidders were in on it until one dropped out at $125k. finished at a strong $135k.

One thing that I don't think will ever come back though, is that sharp "wedge" shape of the rear tail. The 992s have gotten quite round/bubbly and "swollen" looking in the back. I do love the rear "light bar" treatment, but that in conjunction with the rounder rump reminds me more of a panamera than the sharp sloping rear that only a flat low engine can accomodate.

Agree- although I think the standard coupes look TONS better than the targa's and cabs- they are really rounded out. Nonetheless, much sportier lately. I am NOT a Panamera fan...

I bought my '98 with same mileage (and in better condition) back in 2019 for "too much money" at $89k. Wow.

Just increased the guaranteed value insurance of my 49k odo C2S WB to low $100ks and looks like it's already behind market...

Dang. Turquoise blue though. That's a beautiful color, but I wouldn't be surprised to see even a black NB with similar miles hit 100k at this point.
