Edit: I have yet to see a single test mule with a manual. That's not nothing.

Not sure why people are that bothered about a mild hybrid when it will simply enhance the driving experience. Haven’t seen anyone complain about the holy trinity employing hybrid technology.
…. and why would you prefer turbo over NA (with hybrid) if the performance is comparable. Turbo is just lazy power.

And… more of a PITA for Porsche dealer techs to problem solve when an issue arises. In the beginning .2 owners will be Beta-testers.

Hybrid Drive
Not necessarily true. I went from an F8 twin turbo V8 to a V6 hybrid 296 and the drive is a huge advancement. Power, handling, braking all taken into consideration. The acceleration and sound is mind-bending. It’s a great synergistic pairing.

Some will reverse engineer anything to justify their belief systems.

The 296 has a plug in hybrid with a large battery and motor which add a lot of power/torque. The mild hybrid systems that Porsche is reportedly adding to these cars will do very little to improve performance. There will be a 911 hybrid with monster performance, but at a price point much closer to your 296.

And at what "cost" when it comes to added weight.

Even a mild hybrid system (like the one from BMW or MB) can be used either for torque fill and/or traction control.
And for what it’s worth the switch from NA to FI in the 991 generation at a minimum made the 911 a better daily driver with more low end torque, which for a dual purpose GT car like the 911 is a “performance” gain.
