Spy shots of the prestige suv are out now. First I’ve seen it. The k1
Another huge, overweight, EV SUV... wow the excitement can hardly be contained in this image.
One insightful thing from this ghastly EV boat is the vertical lower gills seen on the 911 mules are also present. Seems like a foregone conclusion now. Also interesting is no implementation of the pop-out door handles.
Just a reminder: the 992 was designed with the placement of the electric “assist” between the gearbox and motor, so RWD is possible without the hybrids being AWD only.
Especially with such a small battery.
Although I cannot ascertain any credible information; it would be entirely possible the 992.2 remains more “natural” than currently thought.
The 992.1 also extensively tested with “active aero” as seen on the 992.2, but this could very well be for information gathering processes rather than some sort of performance endeavour*
*Of course it can remain as a new design language in its current unchanged or modified form (hopefully it looks good)*
One could read operating temperature deltas with variable airflow while allowing the thermostat to function as normal.
By doing so you can emulate scenarios the car might see in the same climate.
Anyways, the point of testing is for data and that can be for the car itself, the technology, or for the company… it can also be for all 3.
Its also possible to satisfy a curiosity for an entirely different project than what is apparent.
992.1 dynamic louvres:
I’m looking forward to the 992.2 and will reserve judgement until reveal.

Over 1000HP and I would bet its 7000 pounds. But hey, it's "green" don't you know, it's "environmentally conscious" to drive around in a 7000 pound laptop battery. The automakers are going to take such a bath on these EVs, its going to be hilarious to watch. All the manufacturers think they are going to be government subsidized industries now, that they won't actually have to make sales in the marketplace. I think Mercedes is already taking a bath on their bloated EV offerings, subsidized leases are the only way to move them.
It is fairly evident that 992.2 production is not going to begin until after August as there is an individual located in Switzerland with a PTS T scheduled to enter production this coming August.
The EU will get their hands on the 2.2 well before us in the U.S. I am beginning to fall back in line of believing that the US will not see .2 deliveries until Q1 2025.

this caught my eyes, from Porsche’s deputy chairman of the executive board for finance and IT, Lutz Meschke:“We want to clean up a little bit our model range,” he said.
"In any hybrid variants, though, don’t go expecting a manual hybrid, with Porsche expected to limit the petrol-electric versions to the quicker-shifting PDK autos."
does this mean GTS manual is confirmed gone in 992.2...

I think as interesting: what does clean up mean?
clearly it means fewer variants…. Does this mean AWD only in some models? No more targa? Only base/T gets manual? No more non S turbo?

That particular line doesn't seem sourced - no quotes supporting it in the article at least. But that seems likely. That's a shame.
