The article seems like a complete mess.
I hope the Turbo range comes with the T-HEV hybrid system, 650HP FI ICE + 140hp THEV + tune/exhaust = easy 1000hp car

This has to be one of the most divisive changes. Design language has been going this way with Taycan, Cayenne, and frankly all other manufacturers. The Apple watch crowd will probably embrace it more than the Swiss watch crowd.

I'm a bit torn on all of this. I love tech and think carplay 2.0 will be cool, but at the same time I love classic analog gauges. I would be okay with zero screens and just my iPhone, since it's easier to keep up with the tech that way. Unfortunately, that is not an option. I think the continued digitalization of the dashboard cheapens the look and will age those cars faster. Just my opinion.

In a family SUV CarPlay 2.0 would be great, when I am driving a sports car, all I want is some music and a navigation map. I don't need all the extra features, and I would rather have the mechanical tachometer in the sports car.

My dream 992.2 would be essentially a naturally aspirated, AWD, GT 6spd manual transmission, 4 seats 911 that I can use as a daily even in winter in Minnesota. Ideally it would be low frills and weigh in at less than 3350. It would have mounts for a roof rack. I probably represent like 0.0001% of the market so they won't do this. Maybe I should look at 997's.

I mean.... not sure what to tell you. There are plenty of pics in here that clearly show what will be very close to production bumpers. Other than that nobody knows 100% but there are 2 distinct bumper styles (sport design and standard) and i'm not sure which is which but I wouldn't expect any meaningful change from the two designs that have been appearing consistently here. (one with horizontal slats which i'm guessins is standard bumper and the other without).

(1) Red (bottom)
The “shelf shaped” lip (red) is fake. The real lip will not be blunt like this. This cover is camouflaging a more aerodynamically shaped lip.

(2) Red (top)
The two horizontal slats (red) are fake because they are attached to the front camouflage and thus protrude too much from the bumper to be a part of the actual production car. I have also seen pictures where the new vertical slats are visible behind these horizontal slat.

(3) Yellow
The camouflage is attached to the bumper using tape (yellow).

(4) Green
The protruding sculpted contour (green) is real. This seems to b a part of Porsche’s new design language. You can see a similar sculpting in the front and rear bumpers of the new Panamera, where the plastic is stretched tight along the car, and then contours outwards and down (for no reason on the Panamera’s rear bumper corners). To me, using plastic in this way is a cue out of Toyota’s playbook, which I do not favor.

In the 992.2, this contour will accentuate the edges of the front air intake, and it may look good. However, this is a technique used to break-up large areas of the body where the designers didn’t know what else to do. For the 992.2, the front driving lights were removed, so they had to find an excuse to make that area look interesting.

Just to follow up on my previous post, here is the GT3 R and the Mission X tail lights with illuminated Porsche lettering. I think this implies that we may see something similar on the 992.2.

Good catch. I'm guessing that it's similar to the GT3R. And it makes sense why they are going to a full width double lightbar with that design.

Again, I really hope not. It's one thing on a race car, but on a street car....not my cup. Hopefully it will just be an option.

Well, of course it will be a very high dollar option. Porsche never misses the chance to profit on any upgrade.

Makes even less sense on a race car, totally superfluous. I don't hate it, and there's always the 2ndary mkt for those that do. Porsche know it's new and different and a way to incentivise 922.2 sales.
