How can the power remain the same if they put on bigger GTS Turbos and increased boost?!
I’m curious to see the “real” power once these things get on a dyno.
Does the base get LSD or PTV+?
No, I downloaded the standard equipment data sheet, it seems to have the same open diff as the 992.1
The only thing I want from the 992.2 is the homelink buttons on the rear view mirror. Everything else is hard pass for me....glad I followed my gut and got the last of the 992.1.
There is no chance they engineer a manual transmission for the 992.2 just for a T. There's no return on investment for them on that. It would have to be for the S as well.
My gut says manual will be GT cars only...
News that the S will also be ICE only not hybrid and it is scheduled for January 2025, so you might have a Manual S and a soon after a T.

I feel the same way; after watching the event and looking into everything post-launch, I am thrilled I secured a 992.1 MT GTS.

4:00 minute mark briefly shows a 992.2 Targa hybrid model it seems. If that is the case then I would also expect the 992.2 S to be hybrid as well. Seems only the 992.2 base/T would be non-hybrid perhaps?
Lets talk about Nurburging time and weight of the car as claimed.
Im kinda dissapointed due to few facts after watching the presentation - the car is visibly faster in straight line (Mat Watson / Carwow race), which means thats where the 8s will come from, especially the GTS now comes default on CUP tires (you can check in configuraton) and tires are bigger in the back.
They also tested the car with aero package vs 992.1 without. No clue about rear axle steering, but thats not standard on 992.1
That basically means 992.1 gts will be faster in corners, while 992.2 will be putting up more power in straight line, am I thinking this correctly?
base trim on GTS have NO REAR SEATS (its still a 0$ option), so thats another ~20kg (?) off the car compared to 992.1 which had them?
Also im pretty sure they removed rear seats as base and left it as 0$ option to keep the weight of the car under 1600kg for catalog and to say that the difference vs 992.1 is barely 50kg, which is kinda missleading.
And last thing - anyone found how the active aero works on gts? its just for cooling like the base trim on 992.1 had?

doesn’t it seem more likely that the 992.2 GTS as normally equipped will be pushing 3700 pounds?
