Killing Racing Yellow for this puke green Cartagena thing is a tragedy. It looks like the BMW “yellow” which isn’t yellow at all.

Looks like it's trying to hit tighter emissions?

Porsche also revealed the base 992.2 Carrera with a much more modest powertrain evolution. It retains the 9A2B6 engine, but also adopts the Lambda 1 philosophy to reduce full power exhaust emissions. In this case, peak boost rises from 12.0 to 17.4 psi—higher than the 992.1 Carrera S. To provide this much airflow, the engine gets the larger turbochargers used on the previous S and GTS, as well as the bigger intercooler from the 911 Turbo. Peak power rises modestly, from 379 to 388 horsepower, still at 6500 rpm, and peak torque is unchanged at 331 pound-feet.

But I agree it seems odd that boost goes up with larger turbochargers that are better cooling and HP gains modest.

I think the new Turbo S will be bonkers, and 992.1 Turbo S will see the biggest depreciation out of the 992.1 generation, the best time to get into one of those bad boys.

Really, an up-charge now for the classic Guards Red?

So only get about 7mins flat out with max hp. Not great for the track.
Looks like you have a better track car than anything a GTS - present or future - could offer up.

Is there any video to listen to the new 3.6 exhaust?

I cannot wait to see what a basic fuel mapping mod can do to that GTS engine. Should be an easy 800hp with the electric motor.

Can't wait to hear what that high voltage battery will cost to replace in a few years. Considering the regular 12V lithium battery in the RWS 992.1 costs, what, $2k? There is already a doomsday problem with the current gen hybrid supercars with 5 figure replacement costs after their hybrid battery dies.

Just one time I would love a reveal video to discuss repair or replacement costs, or how efforts were made to mitigate them. It's always celebrating a .2 second faster 0-60 but what goes unsaid is repair costs went up 20%.

Any idea when the 992.2 S and T will be revealed after this?

While Porsche published boost on the 992.1S is 16 psi, my 992.1S consistently produces 17.4 psi at WOT on track. So, it is all in the tune, I think.

$5K at least for that battery, but it doesn't look hard to replace as its under the frunk in the "normal" spot. Does the car still retain the 12V battery in addition to the hybrid battery?

By the time the 994 rolls around, that same battery will be half the size and half the weight.

Curent li-ion battery can be cheaply repaired if you know where to seek for help. the battery concern is overblown as it's still a small battery so it's easy to repair or replace.

The 992.2 definitely looks more angular (has more sharper edge) I wonder if this is the design language for the new model (994).

if the 992.2 sport design front bumper can be retrofitted to the 992.1 that’s something I would consider doing
