You are correct, I never posted any questions here about painted interior option. And I didn't do that precisely because of how divisive I feel the topic is. This truly comes down to personal preference. I can certainly see how picking things that are bright and bold would be harder to appeal to the general public and resale would be harder. So I understand the point that the SA was trying to drive. Now, why I think I caved and listened vs. going with what my gut was telling me I wanted... I suppose there is always a voice in the back of my head that tells me, let's s be real, this is not the last Porsche you will ever buy. Be responsible, think of resale value, try to minimize the amount of depreciation that you will get hit with when you trade it int. etc. etc. And as a result, I listened to the SA twice now with painted interior.
FWIW, I really think the painted interior is horrible, and the video only affirms my thought on not getting it on my GR car (I only did red belts, tach and clock and even that I think might be too much). I always listen to what others have to say, even Porsche SA, and then I make my own opinion. But like you said, it's very much personal preference. I am surprised honestly by many of the choices made by others on here, but each seem to love what they get, so as they say to each his own. I try not to offer my thoughts b/c everyone here seems to like it better when their choices are complimented. I have asked enough people though that I do think that red painted interior will hurt resale b/c no way would I consider it. but you know, it only takes one other person to like it.
Impressive given the top track speed listed for the Carrera T is 181mph on Porsche's website! I assume there's a safety/liability buffer and the speed shown is every-so-slightly more than the actual speed. We need you to try again with specialist GPS timing gear to give you an actual number!
A cheap (and slightly less accurate option) would be a GPS speed app on your smartphone. I think the most I hit on the Autobahn was 269kph in a 2019 Targa 4 GTS. It only had 600 km on the odometer--I guess Porsche doesn't care to advise any break-in method for its rentals through Porsche Drive.
Was wondering the same - how did he hit 191 mph at all, let alone w/a little room to spare? I, too, expected that 181 was the legit/actual top speed of the T. I may have to investigate near the end of my ED trip in early Sept...

You nailed it, that’s exactly it, all comes down to personal choice. The compromise I came up with is ordering the center console piece in guards red from suncoast and swapping it myself. Then, if I decide to trade the car (or if I don’t like it), I’ll put the stock one back in.

LoL. Just trying to prevent another post from another confused individual telling me I don’t know how to spell…like with Porsha. If I really wanted to show off I’d brag about my gpa in Q1 college being 0.7. Now that’s unbeatable (never met anyone with lower) and takes special skills to achieve.

I have always disliked paint-matched interior. It has so often looked cheap and/or gaudy. That being said, I checked that box on my options list. I think they did a fantastic job with what they paint in the 992 and as a bonus each trim piece is removal and replaceable. I remember in the 987 the entire transmission tunnel and below the center console were painted. Blech.
In the 992, if you don't like it you can spend a few hundred bucks swapping them out. Or just pick and choose which trim pieces you want in whatever color separately.

Just to be sure. This is the digital dash. So the actual speed is lower. We had the Dragy connected. 100-200km/h in only 10.1 seconds. But it was not confirmed so we will do the actual numbers another time. I think it was 299km/h actual speed. But we will confirm this another time. We were not planning it yesterday. But I have to guess breaking the car in properly has much to do with this and I really think I did this in the best perfect way. Less oil usage, higher topspeed, lower consumption, more power. All in the details of course. But we will hear later from our fellow German T drivers soon.

Yes I have mentioned this many times in this topic. Now currently 18 unsold new Carrera T in the Netherlands all ordered by (somewhat stupid) dealers.
