992 Carrera T Club

My Targa 4 2021 - is in Carrera White and I felt like I wasted the $900 cost over the free white. The metallic is so super fine that it is only visible in the brightest sunlight and even then you have to look at the car from the side and you can barely discern the metallic flakes.
my son ordered the free white on his Carrera last year and side by side almost impossible to see the difference.
if you ever need to paint a panel - it is a lot easier to match the base white than the metallic Carrera white.
I ignored the salesman that told me the Carrera white was a waste of money but he was right.

By the way, I've seen the two colors side by side as well and I think there is quite a big difference (to me at least).

I was thinking about that photo and I'm sure they are using lighting with very cool temperature (kelvin). Also, the photos are probably not white balanced when processed.

I agree with what others are saying.. i think the lighting on this is very tough to tell... I also have high hopes for the color (now that im past my freeze date and have no other choice haha)... But as I said, I really think the 911 body shape, and more realistic lighting will allow the color to pop. From what I've seen on the 718 Boxster pics, it looks nothing like what we are seeing in this photo.

My initial order was Messian Blue in PTS. When that option died, I anguished over base White vs GT Silver. I love white cars and consider silver kinda generic. I was flamed for stating this earlier in this thread. White offers so many opportunities to do some really cool things. My thought was to paint the ED wheels in Gulf Blue and have a custom Carrera T door script made to match, Both could be done very inexpensivly, a tribute to the original T's and 72 Carrera RS's. If that got old the possibilities for changes are endless with white. My boss has a 992 in White, and well, it looks pretty vanilla. Not bad mind you. I chickened out and went GT Silver. Now, post freeze, I hope it offers some of the opportunities white does. 39 days to see! Enjoy your white car! No doubt it will rock.

Way better... Now we wait to see which one is more accurate lol. The original version looks sooo washed out, you were smart to play around with the filtering, but again, hard to know until someone takes delivery or we get more accurate assembly line photos from the other angles

Getting my Ruby Star Neo in May! Sometimes you just gotta take a leap of faith, it's a super bold color. It honestly won't break the driving experience for me if I don't end up loving the color.
The dealership made me put extra deposit down to make sure I'm committed. I'm assuming it's because the color is a hard sell with manual transmission lol.
