I dont think I'm the first since I saw others leave port before me, but I believe my car is on the supreme ace which left the english channel this morning and my ETD on TYD is currently 4/1.

Back in Nov, well before allocation, I had contacted him with a few questions about ED in general - maybe that somehow got me onto a different "path" starting in January, not sure. The ED process is a train wreck - it's amazing how much all of our experiences differ.
ED has always been a dream for me, but it's been less dreamy than expected thanks to all the demand, shortages, and uncertainty. I think it's gotten progressively more and more jammed up in the past few months. We'll see. It wouldn't be the first time I've driven a 911 in Germany, but it would be the first time driving my own and taking it home.

My car is scheduled to begin production on 3/21. TYD says ETA in NY dealer on 4/28. I have a friend who is also in NY and about 12 days ahead of me.

Pics 2 & 3 showed up today so she's finally complete! Looks like I drew the short stick on the tire lottery. Well, I'll fit right in at any Corvette Club, Camaro, etc.. meet-up. lol

Couldn't be more excited about the car but have to admit, this is the one thing I was dreading. Felt like a punch to the junk seeing a set of Goodyear's installed on my new 911. Looking forward to wearing through these so I can make the switch to a set of Michelins. Will be ordering clear side markers today!

Yes!! Received an e-mail yesterday! Oddly no change in my delivery date of 04/20, but certainly no big deal if that ends up moving. Gearing up for those photos

Team JBM, hah

Very jealous... At this point I'd take the goodyears just so I can get my final pictures to show up!! (Just kidding, I take that back Porsche... don't give me the goodyears)... @BaxterPup what day did your car complete its build?

My TYD previously said 3/31 at my dealer. Now it says 5/4.

If I remember correctly, you ended up getting the Goodyears on your Gentian Blue 992. Hope you get the Michelins this time around!

Production started 3/10 and was initially scheduled for completion on 3/17 but we're at 3/14 and I've already rec'd all 3 pics (arrived early this morning). Production looks to be complete but TYD still hasn't moved to step 5 yet.

Guys - wanted to add some perspective . . . I don't know for how many this is their first custom ordered Porsche (or car even). If it is, relax and enjoy the journey. Know that you designed your car literally out of whole cloth, down to the color of the stitching of your seats even. And artisans (and maybe robots) will in due time make your car according to your wishes.

I know many of us are following intently ship departures, ETA's and similar. That's all fine. But don't lose sight of the bigger picture - your car will be made just for you and no one else. When you stop and think about that, that's pretty cool.

Onward.
