As for the exhaust button, I ordered the chrome tips to make sure I got the button. But I'm not sure why. LOL I was on the fence between black and chrome tops. And I was also on the fence between needing a dedicated button or not, although I do love that image on a button on the car. Oh well, either way is fine. I've spent more than that on mediocre meals before.
Are you in direct contact with Joey from Porsche NA (Delivery Programs Manager) regarding getting an ED date? What your dealer told you earlier is... wrong. Leipzig hasn't even released Sept dates yet so you ought to have a shot at getting one. Apparently they release ED dates roughly five months ahead of time. For instance, Joey didn't get July Leipzig dates until sometime between 2/1 - 2/3; unfortunately he only got 10 dates for July (he had somehow known they'd be very limited for July). And he was expecting to receive August Leipzig dates around 3/1 but in fact only got a partial cache of them just yesterday. So if you stay in contact with him, maybe you have a shot at a Sept Leipzig date which may be released sometime in early April.

I had an original dealer delivery date of 3/31, then 4/14, today it just changed to 5/4. My manufacturing start date was 3/6 and I received all three pictures last week, with a completion date listed as 3/14. Now the completion date says 4/5. Anyone else seeing a moving target?
Yes my dates have moved around a few times, sometimes up sometimes down until now it's finally on the boat with ETA of 4/11 at dealership. It was at one point ETA of 3/31 and 4/18.

Ugh - sorry to hear that - was hoping there'd be a somewhat better chance for you for Sept! I'm typically skeptical when it comes to what a dealer says but, yea, I would believe what Joey says. Not sure why he never mentioned waitlists to me - I first contacted him about trying to get an ED slot on 1/16 when I got my allocation. Back in Nov, well before allocation, I had contacted him with a few questions about ED in general - maybe that somehow got me onto a different "path" starting in January, not sure. The ED process is a train wreck - it's amazing how much all of our experiences differ.
