992 Carrera T Club
What does vehicle in transit mode mean. Does it limit speed or disable car alarm, or maybe both? Protect the battery from discharge?

There is nothing official announced, but the rumor is the 992.1 T will end production sometime this spring or early summer. The thought is there will not be a 2025 T. The 992.2 will start to be produced. Nobody knows if or when there will be a 992.2 T, or if it will have a manual option or be hybrid. If that matters to you, my advice would be to take the 992.1 now while you can get it. You could always trade up later if it turns out they make something you like. What month did your dealer say the T would be delivered?
Wanna hear a funny, they made him buy the Porsche watch as well as a deposit to just get on the list. 🖕

You still have all the stock stuff too, so in effect 2 different setups. That means your stock parts can live longer, while the track parts can be more optimized for track (rebuildable,.. etc).
The point I was getting at with my question was the upgrades for a GTS and a T are the same parts. So if you are going to upgrade a GTS, might as well just start with a T. Unless someone knows something I don't?

My neighbor just got on the list for allocations for 2025, a cab 4s. His dealership to him 2026 and up will be hybrids. So he was definitely locking in before the hybrid and taking advantage of the new bumper if it’s available.

Am I the only one that finds this odd? A MY25 this far out? His dealer is feeding him a load of BS regarding MY26+ being the hybrids. They sound rather clueless as are most dealers. Dealers are generally more in the corporate dark than they care to ever admit.
The watch thing seems to be the norm for GT cars at dealerships that are not adding a ADM. This might be the first I have heard of a required watch purchase on a non-GT car.
Edit: MY25 will be the 992.2, so if he is wanting to avoid that he will be SOL via a 2025.

Any dealership can write a buyers order for a vehicle they have no clue on the specifications nor allocations for. They will take anyone’s money on the hope that something eventually develops. If Porsche has another price increase between now and then he will be subject to pay it. The dealership is not going to eat it.

Maybe so, but everything I mention is true as I saw his paperwork and a picture of the watch on order. His cab4S comes in at over 180K. I’m guessing he has a price guarantee but I didn’t ask. I’d he’s being mislead I can’t say but it’s not his first Porsche, so I’m guessing he knows the right questions to ask?

I just think the watch story when he mentioned it was priceless to see his face.
More importantly we just need to wait to see if that model year of 2026 is announced as a hybrid? Then his dealer did him a favor.

Not sure if on the list for the allocation list means he’s locked. You Porsche guys waiting for years on some of these models is insane and likely why dealerships act this way? 😇

My dealer wouldn't take a deposit until they had a commission number to put my name on in the system.
The T picked up a new dance partner…
