992 Carrera T Club

Would appreciate some thoughts on this build, it’s been two years in the making! Going back to my first post, I haven’t changed much from the spec:
Porsche code: PPT8QQZ9
Porsche Configurator
This will be a daily driver Florida car, so a sunroof and ventilated seats are a must (for me). Other than those, I kept it fairly simple:

- Black exterior, standard wheels
- 18 way seats
- PDLS
- LCA
- Ambient lighting
- Seatbelts Guards Red
- Window trim gloss black
-I had black paint on a Cayman S and Jet black on Cayenne GTS. They both show swirls etc, but I still have my 2008 Cayenne GTS in Jet black and with a professional detail each year the paint has really held up beautifully. My flat black Cayman S paint was trashed in 2 years and took hours and hours of professional paint correction every year to bring it back to life... I put full xpel on eventually, but I really recommend doing the $840 metallic paint, it just shows slightly less wear as compared to the free black.
-Just curious why adding rear seats back in? No complaint, just curious... without them car should sound better/louder and be lighter
-I have had the PDLS+ and on my current 992 I have the free headlights... Honestly the standard lights are fantastic and I really dont notice much of a different if you want to save some money here (or put that extra $$ towards the slightly better paint color)

I'm at MSRP too but my dealer requested Euro Delivery as that got them a second allocation. Euro Delivery is booked until Sept so they later waived it and still honored MSRP. An interesting twist however is that they are mandating the lane change feature (LCA) and touting it as a non negotiable safety feature. I suspect it has to do with resale when I later trade it in.
Since I should be one of the earlier arrivals, I have a car review youtuber who's going to either be with me for pickup, or he'll review it very shortly thereafter so lots of pics and vid planned. I have a few aftermarket mods planned for very early on too, which will all be shared here.

I'd say effectiveness varies by manufacturer. The ones I've had (BMW, Lexus, VW) all simply had a fan that blows air through the perfs in the seat. I haven't been impressed with any of the ones I've used. The BMW on the high setting was also noisy.

The 992 ones are effective. I had on the one I just traded in for T and on hot days and track days they made a significant difference. I wanted to keep the 911 stitching in the headrest though, so I opted to skip them on this go around

You can't get Sport-tex with seat ventilation, only leather seats will get ventilation was my understanding, it's a glitch in the configurator.

Nice! and simple. Love black with red bits... Couple suggestions:
-I had black paint on a Cayman S and Jet black on Cayenne GTS. They both show swirls etc, but I still have my 2008 Cayenne GTS in Jet black and with a professional detail each year the paint has really held up beautifully. Correct, standard sport tex is just cloth seat centers. Ventilated seats gets you the perforated leather seat centers with a fan that sends some air up through the holes.
In my experience, Porsche ventilated seats aren't that great at keeping your backside cool- you get that initial blast of cool and then it quickly fades off to nothing. Ford and GM do the best ventilated seats surprisingly. Cloth seat centers in Porsches typically keep me cooler + added benefit of grip from the texture of the fabric holding you in.
As you can guess, I'm speccing cloth in my Florida car.

Thanks - that does look good! Tempting with the green T interior for some unique color on the inside. I prefer the bold bright colors on Porsche sports cars, so have some resistance to a monochromatic white (too boring, common?), but it certainly looks good here. I'd be tempted to get the CF roof or glass sunroof to breakup the white maybe.

White, silver, black, Python Green are the best colors for the green stitch interior.
A while ago a few of us flirted with the Barney build of Ruby with the green stitch but I think everyone realized it's probably too bold.
The slate grey and green T interior packages get you the T specific pinstriping which is a nice "T" touch for those of you that like the specialness of the trim. Otherwise you get the standard sport tex seats that are optional on the other trims with the 911 logo in the headrests, as long as you don't option ventilated seats. With ventilated seats you get a completely plain leather seat (no headrest logo)

Very glad I came to my senses on this... moment of weakness/wanting deviated stitching, but Rubystar turned out to be the one that captured my heart more.

Burning Brakes
I'm not objective... White is classic, understated and goes well with anything you throw at it. Plus, it stays "cleaner" longer (in looks at least...). There are plenty of other colors on the car (particularly if you keep it T with the Agate/Titanium bits) to offset. If you get aero and paint the front lip body color, it definitely changes the look as well and might be too much. Couple guys have that look on their 991.2 and it works, IMO. Sorta like some of the older late 80's/90's cars with the painted fronts. White or Gentian with the Lizard T interior would be the way I would go. I love the Guards accents in mine now. Even though it doesn't match the brake shoes (looking at you Macboy...). It's a T, y'all. Don't over think it... drive it!

Got confirmation today the aerokit uses a bigger front splitter than the sport design package to balance the aero changes from the wing.

Here's my white build - basic spec but looks pretty good and relatively good value. The glass sunroof would look good on the white, but there goes the ethos lol. Don't need the exclusive design tail lights on white either. My 991.2 T was yellow with the yellow T interior package. The interior pin striping and accents were a nice touch and I thought looked pretty good. Surprising how much the yellow embroidered '911' in the seats really popped. I hope the same would be true for the green T package.
