992 Carrera T Club

My SA told me that all other 911s have this feature as part of the premium pkg and they dont order cars without it anymore, so when I told him I didnt want it he looked very "concerned" about what that would mean down the road lol... I dont care about the next guy, but I actually found the feature useful on track days coming out of blind corners into passing zones... sometimes its a good reminder on track to just give the other guy a little extra room.
I was at my dealership today and looked at a GT4RS... carbon fiber. ohhhhh. purdy. Now I'm thinking about the CF roof for looks on my Python Green, and Ethos of the T 4lb reduction. lol. Plus the wow factor and conversation piece at Cars & Coffees as pointed out earlier. But is that worth $4k?
I plan on a custom over the top motorsport agate gray stripe too, but wouldn't do that over the CF roof.
Thoughts on CF roof?

High Gloss Black... I've learned my lesson with that. I stay away at all costs. What a PITA (Pain in the A$$).
Having high gloss back added for more $$$ on a low riding car, especially on parts of the car that have consistent contact with debris (front splitter, side skirts, mirrors, wheels, and rear side corner), is just asking for it.
High gloss black is the hardest paint color to paint correct and shows the most scratches and paint chips. No thanks.
It looks wonderful in the configurator but in person and the reality of living with it, is not my cup of tea. Respectfully. I lived with too many high-gloss vehicles and trim(on my previous 992) and have learned a life lesson on that.

Not much can be done other than replacing either.

Would appreciate some thoughts on this build, it’s been two years in the making! Going back to my first post, I haven’t changed much from the spec:
Porsche code: PPT8QQZ9
Porsche Configurator
This will be a daily driver Florida car, so a sunroof and ventilated seats are a must (for me). Other than those, I kept it fairly simple:

- Black exterior, standard wheels
- 18 way seats
- PDLS
- LCA
- Ambient lighting
- Seatbelts Guards Red
- Window trim gloss black
I've watched every YouTube video of the 992 Carrera T (mostly the press day a month ago) and most of the ones I could find for the 991.2 Carrera T, while trying to decide between an S or a T.
I've gone for the T even though it's not as quick but just because it seems like it will be a little more fun to drive, especially with manual.
Reviews like this are typical of what convinced me to go for the T...

NB also enjoyed Doug DeMuro's review!

Wow, 60 minutes to catch up on 5 days away from the thread.. It's good to see more practical builds and more talk on Ice Grey metallic.
I'm still flipping from one colour to another but wish they had more metallic choices.

I'm not getting it. My dealer doesn't care what/how people order cars AFAIK.

This is exactly what I needed to see today! Thank you so much for posting this. I know the cynics will say it’s all marketing speak but I am buying into it! Hopefully a 992 version of that book will appear when the T starts arriving at dealerships.
Much appreciated! 👍🏻

Nice DD build! You forgot the $0 Storage Package that adds a net in the passenger footwell.
Unless you feel strongly about the 18 way seats, the 4 way seats have the same side bolsters and also allow for seat ventilation with perforated leather centers. You lose the lumbar adjustment and memory function. But if you're the only who'll ever drive the car, do you need seat memory?
For my DD 992 T, I'm specifying the full leather interior and a nice audio system (preferably Bose, but I'll take Burmester over base audio.)

- Storage Package
- Color change from Black to Black Metallic
- Removing window trim in high gloss black
- Removing PDLS+
I currently have a white 991.1 - I like it, but black speaks to me. Have owned 6 black cars previously in Florida as well.
For those asking about the rear seats, my daughter (4) would personally eject you if anyone threatened her ability to ride in the 992…

I still think I will be the first here with my week 7 production. Delivery should be a week later. Pictures incoming…
Hold my beer. Here is a beautiful white 992 S with exclusive taillights. I have to say it looks stunning!

Hé guys there is one important thing I forgot to share with you. Talking about nerdy details. Only relevant for people who want to order the Race-Tex roof lining. In my current 4S I have the Race-Tex roof lining but not the glass sunroof. I have noticed that the Race-Tex roof lining is almost not visible because it’s too dark in the interior. Despite the T ethos I have ordered the glass sunroof with this being an extra argument. With the glass sunroof the Race-Tex roof lining is way better visible.
Here is my picture which says it all because of the tons of natural light coming in. Hope it helps some of you in the decision making.
(And I think it also clearly shows why the sun visors in Race-Tex should not be forgotten.)
