With the 911 she insisted on PDK because she wanted to indulge in the experience as well….She’s never touched the “smaller” vehicle I ended up purchasing and won’t drive the Porsche because it’s too fast….get what you want

This is RL good sir, we're obligated to get heated over other people having different opinions.

I always get the spec I want. But I like to check in with my wife on the build before I submit it. She’s had some good observations and suggestions on aesthetics over the years.

No options in the T is awesome, but not the S, that changes things. Your just a cheap ***, get the leather A/C vents and make it heavy if it’s a S, but not too expensive, because then you should get a GTS, and then you kinda have an identity crisis so May as well get the GT3 so you don’t look like a poser, but then again the Turbo S is faster, but kinda like a Buick in the turns and god forbid you get an aerokit..you may as well mark yourself as a pariah, but the wing on the gt3 looks great. I kid.

Yup, more than likely she will never end up driving the car, she doesn't even like driving my '12 C63 since it's modified for the track. I think she could figure out the MT if she put her mind to it, but she dailies a tesla to avoid going to the gas station so that tells you where her priorities are. If my mind was made up on the MT it wouldn't even be a discussion, but since I'm on the fence I may as well ask. I probably could have guessed the answer though if we are being honest

My Daughter was 7 when I bought my ‘19T. Wanted rear seats so she could ride along. My Wife, Daughter and I have been in the car together a total of about 10 times in 3.5 years. Most of my driving is done alone in the mountains. If I could do it over I would delete the rear seats. Pros and cons to both. Cannot really go wrong, just enjoy it.

Just get the car how you want. Forget what others tell you. They aren’t dropping a dollar to pay for your car so why get into any arguments. 😬

Some of my fondest childhood memories are in the back seat of my Dad's 1973.5 911T. My boys (7 & 12) love riding in the back seat of my T, though the older one is starting to get squeezed. My wife took it (manual) to get her hair done today (in the rain) ... just because she wanted to "get a little sideways <wink>", since its wet here and a weekend - I'm just hoping she leaves PSM Sport "ON".

(I kid, she's a good driver)

I wouldn't change a thing about my build - fun for the whole family.

cheers!

LOL. Not hung up. All in good fun. Sounds like you're taking it serious though?
It's always interesting when someone makes a personal stab instead of just making general comments.

Exactly. My daughter can sit in the back at least for the next 5 years or so and my wife can actually sit in the passenger seat in front of her. It's a bit tight but it works.

For this car my wife has been very involved in color and some options. She's enjoying it and has a flare for decorating. She even came up with a color scheme that I'm not doing because it's black, but it would be cool: Black car, T interior with Lizard green stitching, AND THEN she wanted to pinstripe around an over the top PORSCHE stripe with lizard green and get the calipers done in lizard green too. Yes, I agree that would be cool. But my card-carrying OCD membership forbids me from buying a black Porsche.

She makes comments when looking at some builds on here with me like: "YUK! That's what happens when a man picks colors without the help of a woman." I can't totally disagree.

Lmao, one of the Barney builds I imagine?
