Sorry, I mean - do you have the pictures of the two steering wheels from the dealer (GTS)?

No, I didn't think to take pics when I was there... but I can confirm that in person they look just like the photos I just posted, and the shift **** on the black race tex setup was all black vs. silver on the one with the grey race tex setup... and again, the config says the heated wheel should be black, but in person the heated wheel was grey and non heated was black

I like the all black.

I wonder if the heated wheel has anything to do with the differences.

Question about mine if you don't mind, as long as you are studying the configurator: I want all leather on the steering wheel and shifter. Non-heated wheel. I'm ordering the green T interior (the cheaper one). If I don't check any other interior boxes, I'm getting leather wheel & shifter, right?

The pictures you posted are two different configurators. Also one 911 ist with full leather, the other one with the standard interior.

Was the one GTS maybe a Slate Grey interior?

@Zetta is right. The tachs are different, and there is more brightwork all over that first one. Aluminum trip bits.

What also surprised me in the second picture is that it is a manual transmission, but the pedals belong to the PDK

Yes, I did go on two different configs just so I could provide proof that there are two colors for Race Tex... The US config states Black Race Tex for heated wheel, but it does not change the color... I know that two race tex colors exist because I saw them in person... You guys do bring up a good point that the seat/interior colors may have Overrided the "Heated GT Race Tex wheel in Black Race Tex" for the car I saw with a heated wheel in Grey... I have literally no idea what to believe I will get... I have black seats selected... I think my safest bet would be to swap to the heated wheel (since the config says that should be black) and with black seats, just hope that it all aligns, including the arm rest

Absolutely Correct... The only thing that this T interior package changes is the stitching and seat centers... As long as you dont venture into the "Race Tex" section, you will have all leather wheel, shift **** and boot, with green stitching on all of it.

Living in Boston, you will love the heated steering wheel. This is one of my favorite options on every car in the winter time.

Yes, you are right. I have a Cayenne GTS that has a heated wheel (and is my daily driver/winter car). I dont plan on driving the T in the cold weather, but even on a crisp fall day im sure I will appreciate it.
Mostly going to be a track car with driving gloves

Please note that the black Racetex can change color a lot depending on the light conditions. It looks gray in broad daylight and quite anthracite in a darker corner of the showroom. It's never black in my eyes, although Porsche calls it black. This picture shows it best - the leather is black, Racetex according to Porsche too. But the Racetex looks gray (you can see the difference when you look at the seat bolster - seat surface). Also, as you can see when you wipe the Racetex with your palm, it also changes color from light to dark. This may have deceived you when you looked at the dealer.

Gloves have always done the trick for me. My 996 C4 was my daily (and PCA Autocross car) while living in the Boston area. I have a heated wheel on my Macan S, but now I live in Seattle so less useful.

Edit: My T won't be my daily, but I'll slap winter tires on it during the winter. I'm foregoing the heated wheel because I just don't need it.

This is what my Cayman T non heated racetex wheel looks like. It's described in the configurator as "GT Sport Steering Wheel and Manual Gear Lever in Race-Tex"

Anyone know where to find the gear rations and final drive for a T manual? I went to the Porsche website and the link to the T tech specs brings up specs for a GTS.
