992 Carrera T Club

Burning Brakes
I have a 1970 911T. These cars were sold as a base model, like the carerra is today. They came with carburetors rather than MFI and no frills. They were very light weight with the lack of power windows, MFI, and other weight adding options. When Porsche wanted to race in 1970, they built a few <25 911Ts with wide flares, a modified 2.4L engine and stripped the car even more. The model is called the 911ST. Porsche then sold ST kits to 911T owners who wanted to go racing.
So, there you have it. The 911T went from being a base model to a race car called the 911ST....

Taken from the 992 Forum, the 2023 model year VIN. Looks like there's going to be a T and it's going to retain the Carrera engine.. manual box and I'm in!

It's going to be my 1st 911 and i now actually have something to be excited about as many questioned the integrity of a 992 T given it's lower status.

Oooo this is exciting news! Do we believe this will be .1, or .2 cars?

Great given the current inventory and supply issues along with market for 992 buyers that would mean a 2023 car definitely which you'll probably see in 2024 in the flesh delivered! Best guess 24 mos to a car in hand probably.. Bravo Porsche!

Yep, as much as I love all these new editions coming out (including the rumored Spyder RS), I rather Porsche focus on their current supply chain issues and crank out the current models that are taking their sweet old time. In fact, by delaying the T, it may actually help Porsche's bottom line...for me, I am hoping to get a 992 GTS, but if the T comes out, I think I would rather just get the T.
