"The North American Porsche Rep Was at my dealer in MA today and I spoke directly with him... He confirmed that the car will come with two diamond "custom Buttons" unless you select either FAL or Exclusive design tailpipes... The FAL is always going to be on the far left of the button layout, and they didnt want to leave the second button in as a Diamond custom button if the far left is designated as FAL. If you select the "Exclusive Design Tailpipes" they give you the exhaust button on the dash as a result of selecting that option.. No idea why other than its a quirky T option."

Got it. One last question. Can the custom diamond buttons be configured to toggle on and off the exhaust? If not what can they be configured to do

To answer your question about the press cars... they are euro spec/pre production cars, so maybe they just didnt align those with the way they are going to be built going forward... but the Porsche Rep mapped this out exactly how I just described above
Hope this helps.

Sorry but I’m a tad confused. In the video posted by reddy, the PSE button (second from left) is shown at 3:25. So you are saying that unless we spec FAL or the ED tailpipes that the PSE button is not there? Where is it located if it’s not there?

P.S. This seems like a strange conversation, no?

Dealer confirmed I have an allocation for April build, but as others have pointed out there is a stop sell on PTS. Anyone have any idea when this will change?

to answer some of the other questions, I have no idea why they changed this. On my current 992 I have neither the FAL or the Exclusive design… I currently just have the “Sports Exhaust” with the silver tips. With that option I currently have the exhaust emblem on my second toggle and my first toggle is a custom Diamond
the rep didn’t have an answer for why this changed, but it’s a 2023 change. The FAL option also adds the exhaust so that there aren’t any random middle buttons left out… and the exclusive design is now required to be checked to give you the exhaust emblem as well. Otherwise it’s 2 diamonds. This is what the very first 2019 built cars had too if I’m not mistaken.
the press cars I think are just pre production and aren’t to be used as a measuring stick.
im going to choose to believe the PCNA rep on this one and just make sure I select one of those two options to ensure I have the exhaust pic on my button. It’s not a bid deal since you can designate it that. But I like the look and want it there

Are these truly just stickers as was suggested above or is the image part of the button. My feeling is that these buttons are manufactured that way with the image of the exhaust being translucent so you can see the red light through the button..Making me think the T may be a one year only parts bin special (in my view making it even more desirable) as I’m sure the .2 cars will have a redesigned dash.

I feel really stupid knowing this much about a stupid exhaust button lol... But I like the look of it and personally want it on my car

What dealer were you able to get an allocation from? Only 9 known allocations in the USA so far, so we are all very eager to here what locations are getting them.
To answer some of your other questions:
I have a 992 Gentian Blue... love the color but im about to order a T in a new color (probably Ruby Star)...
I have the base lights and they are all you need... the only difference with upgrade is the swivel, which isnt worth it to me... the base lights are very very bright and look nice
I have Bose, and having same issue, but im going to keep base system on my T build because this car is more for track driving and listening to engine on back roads... its not going to be my daily

Went with the GT Silver, Matrix LED, 4 way seats and Burmester, etc.
If you intend to use it for "track driving", will you leave the standard brakes on, or planning to upgrade? And PDK or manual? Will you go with manual for you "track driving" car?
As I said, I had a V8 singing in the front (and it was a really singing one), but for me, I still need a decent stereo unit from time to time.

Im going to order my T with a Manual (I miss having a stick for both on and off track). I had a 7-speed 991 before that i tracked. I went with PDK on my first 992 because I went to the Porsche racing school in Birmingham and fell in love with the speed etc. But after 2 track seasons, I found myself missing the manual experience on track and off and honestly just realized that all out speed was not the most important thing to me.
So yes, Manual for my track/weekend car... And I am planning on using the standard brakes until I wear them out, and then might look for upgraded options after that. i had no issues with the base brakes on my current 992.
I know I am going to dislike the base audio, but i want to spend my money on other options like carbon bucket seats, rear axle steer, surround view, ruby paint etc... and I wish I could afford everyting but I need to cut myself off around the $135K point and burmesiter doesnt make the cut for me compared to other options.

I wanted the tailpipes just for the silver tips at first, but learning about the button from toph pushed them into "must have" territory for me
