Yeah that's what seemed odd to me. He mentioned it will be an April production car, with May/June delivery. I will see what the other dealer says next week.

Otherwise, store it for the winter and reevaluate in the spring after we know more about the 992.2.
If the 992.2 models are Full Hybrids, they will without a doubt have significantly lower re-sale values than typical seen for 911s. The 5 year re-sale value on a 911 currently is around 85% to 90% which is one highest for any car. The hybrid versions of Porsche's other models (Cayenne and Panamera) have historically had significantly worse re-sale values than the regular models. This is also true for basically any other brand.

Even if a 992.2 Full Hybrid is a significantly better as a car overall than the 992.1 (which I think it could be) it will take a significant deprecation hit compared to the current 992.1 911s. Deprecation is the largest cost of ownership in a car typically.

This is crazy to me. Porsche is selling more and more 911's (looking at quarterly delivery numbers), but I guess they just keep growing in demand because they are so solid which leads me to the next comment...

Without a doubt koo koo for 911's . I mean look at all of us posting forever and ever about our T's with undying excitement! I will note that the gross profit margin is around 17-19%. On my factory tour a couple weeks back it was mentioned that the focus is on something called "Project 20" which is to get Porsche's margin on 911's to 20%. That being said they are probably on a trajectory to get to 50 in the next ten years given demand. The 911 factory runs 24 hours/day 5 days a week. The Taycan only has 16 hour days.

I have been highly curious about the current 911 production hours and days on.

There is SO much demand (no big surprise there). Just churning out 911's. It's a beautiful sight. Another fun fact is up until around 2015 the US was the biggest share of Porsche vehicles when China took over. The US has taken back the crown as of 2023 (I forget which quarter tipped the balance). China number 2 and Germany number 3.

It's also crazy to see how many PTS fancy 911's come through in a single tour. Both in March and October I saw maybe a dozen PTS cars each day? And I saw a Rothman's Livery Dakar BOTH times as well. And oodles of GT3's and GT3 RS's. Highly recommend the factory tour to anyone and everyone. It's 10 Euros; just have to be sure to book ahead if you're passing through Stuttgart.

I just got an allocation for an April build. Woot! I don't think any dealer knows when the .2 switchover will occur. My guess is they will build some .1s along side .2 S or 4S. Maybe they will run out the .1 builds with Ts. The only people that know aren't talking! I'm happy I got an allocation as I was beginning to wonder if I'd run out of time. I don't mind having one of the last builds though, if that turns out to be what happens.

ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
The first post for 992 T’s on this forum was 18th November last year. Post #20
Prior to that they were posting on here about 991.2 T’s.
Page down on this thread beyond where it says..
’Reply to this thread’ and you’ll start to see posts for the 991.2.
Interesting how even with the 991 everyone was bitching about the base stereo😂

By Allocation you mean you're in V200 status for a April Build?

On your build sheet from your dealer, the first line shows your MTYP and your Commission Number. Do you mind sharing those as I'm curious because my V200 Allocation keeps getting pushed back. Oct then Nov then Dec and now Jan.

Hello all. I am excited to report that my 911T order froze on 11/2. It is getting real.

I had the opportunity to drive both a 992 C2S and a 992 C4S at a "Porsche Experience" event on 10/26. I had not driven a 992 series 911 before. Wow - the rear end is just "nailed to the road."

According to the TYD app, ETA for my car is now 1/05/24. I ordered a set of winter wheels and tires yesterday so I can enjoy winter driving without worrying.

Hope u had a good long flight home.
I think you’re referring to Porsche’s “Road to 20” program. That’s the overall Porsche company targeted Operating Profit Margin (and not gross profit margin for 911). I saw Porsche’s press release where their Finance head quoted ur mentioned 17%-19% Operating profit margin for Porsche in 2023….and targeting 20% in the future. So that’s operating profit margin which is after deducting for OPEX vs Gross profit margin which is Pre-OpEx.

Anyway, my main point was that a well designed sexy / fun product leads to a bunch of koo koos including me craving so much for it, ha.

Thanks for this post, was super timely! I got a call yesterday for a T allocation with $10K ADM, came to this forum, realized that was BS. So I called up the larger no ADM dealer in my city and they had an allocation for me ready to go (a bunch dropped yesterday). So I’m now in for the Jan build!!

I’m guessing it’s still aerokit delays.
