Tune in a new T
Im finally back in a T, had a 2018 with a Cobb tune on it that I never should have sold but after two years waiting finally took delivery of my 2024 T yesterday. I bought the 2018 as a CPO and already had the tune on it.
For those that have already put a tune on the 992 T, whether Cobb or something else how long have you waited? Ive only had the car for a day and while I love it as is I remember the difference when I had the tune on vs off on my last one so definitely plan to do it here at some point.
thanks!

The order was placed in July this year.
OPC said it went Factory Locked in September.
We were unable to change the spec after that date, and hopefully Porsche wont either !
Build is supposed to be February 24.
So I am trusting it will come as ordered.

Hello all. I am excited to report that my 911T order froze on 11/2. It is getting real.
I had the opportunity to drive both a 992 C2S and a 992 C4S at a "Porsche Experience" event on 10/26. I had not driven a 992 series 911 before. Wow - the rear end is just "nailed to the road."
According to the TYD app, ETA for my car is now 1/05/24. I ordered a set of winter wheels and tires yesterday so I can enjoy winter driving without worrying.

As per above, I can assure you a 73 RS, as in the car itself, is not worth $2m. People pay that for the reasons you outlined above. New Porsches are not overpriced. Economics 101: supply and demand. Right now demand outstrips supply to the extent that dealers can charge ADMs and people pay anywhere from $5k for a base to $300k for a limited run car. That means they are underpriced, which is why PAG keeps increasing prices. When dealers can no longer charge ADMs without losing sales, that's about the point where 911s will be priced at what people are willing to pay. This is oversimplified but hopefully you get the idea.

I love you man, but sometimes we miss things that are right in front of us. Your statements above IS the value you pay for. It's the reason some pay $600k for a 4.0, or $1m for a CGT, or $2m for a 73 RS.

Of course I already understand all of that. I think it's a matter of semantics. What I say overpriced I don't mean in terms of economics. I'm talking about value proposition in completely subjective terms. If you can separate the two then my post doesn't seem contradictory. Believe me I read over it like 5 times knowing this would be coming from someone.
When it comes to luxury goods, it's ALL subjective and it's difficult to justify price tags in objective terms.

I guess because yours is a PTS colour that's why the production was pushed back to February?
However as all the US guys are stating that PTS is no longer available so I would seriously check with you dealer and get something in writing.
They (the OPC's) all have computer systems showing each order with the commission number and all the projected time lines ask to see yours.
In answer to your earlier question the aero kit was on the Uk configurator in Jan/Feb, but since then became deleted. In the Sates it appears to be on and off looking their current configurator it is still available.
Getting production pictures is a nightmare and much more difficult than it appears in the States. I am still trying to track mine down, My app is still on three and yet my car is sitting at Emden right now waiting for a ship to Sheerness. It should have moved to 4 where I was hoping to find it, I went to my dealer on Friday to try and sort it but regrettably no success. 3NXT who did get photos UK based replied to my request with a helpful link I am working on it. As well as the app there is Porsche .com where you should be able to find details of your build using your password, this may have pictures. I am going to try this tomorrow. Good luck,
All the best Devon Racer.

I was offered a GT3 RS, free to configure and no ADM.
But, this means I have to give up my CS and T (garage space and I want only one toy in the future, otherwise they sit untouched for months). Never bonded with the CS, so that part is easy...but I really like the T and more importantly, its/it's manual
Tough one. Really wanting that RS though.

Finally took delivery!
24 992 T manual
Only driven 100 miles (break-in) so far but love the engine (likes to rev and the sound is really good) and responsive chassis. PCM is pretty intuitive and the car play helps a lot... Looking forward to many years with it!

PCA just did a one-mile review of the 992 T and gave it a 9/10 for fun. The reviewer absolutely loved driving it.

P.S. I had an M2 CS and didn’t keep it long. I didn’t quite get the hype.
